    Where to stay?

I've been to DLP before and stayed at both the Disneyland hotel (thanks to a free upgrade upon arrival!) and the Sequoia Lodge. We're hoping to go again in November but can't decide where to stay. We're leaning towards Newport Bay or New York but open to suggestions. We're not too...

I was wrong...about what Disney's target market is...

I think this depends on your perspective. Obviously Disney parks exist for the family experience and I don't think that will ever change but they do know which strings to pull to get people through the door. Make the kids want to go and the parents will want to take them for a dream...

    Security at the Entrance

Whilst I think about it - we went to Magic Mountain last year whilst visiting LA. As usual we got the bag search but they refused to let my brother in law take a bag of crisps (or chips as you guys know them) into the park. He asked why but they wouldn't give him an answer. They just threw...

    Security at the Entrance

My general feeling is that the guards are there as a deterrent more than anything. I don't think they have ever, properly searched my bag but then again, they have had no hint that there might be something suspicious. I suppose part of it is also controlling access to the part - if someone is...

    The Agony of Choice

Sorry, I'm dragging this one up form the past a bit but I wanted to say: a) sorry for not thanking you guys earlier - I've been really tied up at work these last few weeks, even to the point that I haven't been keeping up with WDW news! b) we made our decision: we're going to DLP for a few...

    Question about requesting a room?

Yep, you need to use the same people who made the initial reservation (although they may in turn give you a direct contact at Disney which happened to me a couple of years ago). Remember, even if they accept the request, they can not / will not guarantee anything.

    resort question

I would vote for the boardwalk. I've never stayed there myself but it feels like a place where you can just relax and your kids can enjoy the resorts and, of course, the Boardwalk itself. The fact you are within walking distance to both Epcot and the Studios would be a big factor for me.

    Animal Kingdom Lodge

No matter where you are, you will get a great view. You will want to spend some time exploring the resorts anyway - there are plenty of places to get good views of every area. If you had to pick somewhere to stay, I would try to avoid the bottom floor as the elevated views of the higher floors...

    Garden Grill Reviews and Opinions???

We ate there about 3 years ago. I can't say the food was amazing but it was still nice (and they went out of their way to accommodates my wife's needs). The characters were great and the price was very good too. Would I go back there? Yes, but it's not high on my list.

    Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge

Boat is the way to go. If you have time, you can also go from WL to FW.

What is to become of the Barnstormer??

I haven't really been keeping up with the expansion news but last I heard, it was staying and would probably be re-themed. I think an Alice in Wonderland theme is great but not quite sure how it would work. I would love to see a robin hood themed ride too but I don't think this will be it...

Should there be more benefits for people staying at better resorts?

Nope, You pay more for a nicer hotel which in itself gives you more: better location better service better transport options nicer surroundings better restaurants in the hotel And that's just naming a few. I can't see why you would want (or expect) more than that.

    The Agony of Choice

I've been fortunate enough to come into a bit of money lately, only a small amount but it's enough to fund a large part of a trip to WDW for my wife and I. The problem is that I've also had my eye on a new drum kit for a year or so now and this seems like the perfect opportunity to buy it but...

    Animal Kingdom Lodge

I can recommend the room service breakfast! Food was nice, delivered when asked and I didn't think it was bad value either.

    youtube is crap, please help!!!

There are quite a few alternatives to YouTube but beware, if it's getting deleted due to copyright then its likely to happen elsewhere too (albeit not so quickly). More worrying is that you could be marked as a infringer of coyright and could end up with big fine. Whilst I woud love to see...

Grad night crowds during the day?

I've only ever been at WDW during grad nights once and I actually spent the day in MK. I really didn't think the crowds were too bad but obviouly there were quite alot of people trying to get as much done as possible before closing. Others may have a different experience but I say: get there...

I need help WDW friends regarding trip change to April!

I didn't really see any big effect on the crowds during Grad Night. Obviously MK was closed and it took us a very, very long time to get from our resort (AKL) to the Poly for dinner reservations due to road closures / diversions etc. I'd rather take one afternoon / evening of slight crowds and...

    Which Resort

I would go for POP - this is based a little on the bus situation but mostly because the resort theme appeals to me a little more.

Wilderness Lodge Villas or Grand Floridian?

I love the Wilderness Lodge but like you, I've never stayed at GF. Given the chance, I would stay there. Moving rooms really isn't that much of an effort, Disney will sort everything out for you, and the time spent packing when leaving WL will be paid back when you have less to pack on your...
