I think this one will need strong reviews and word of mouth to be a huge hit. Ford is no longer a box office draw. Either is Mackie, and last time we saw his character was a D+ show that was pretty mediocre by most accounts. But I think the release date could really work in it's favor.

If the sequel makes about half of the original, you wouldn't make a third one unless you really put an axe to the budget and I cant think that would be a good idea.

Captain Underpants has a significantly higher critics score than Mufasa FWIW

The Captain Underpants movie was great and Pilkey's books are super popular. Dog Man should do well.

They really didn't want this going to trial. Whatever, if this still means the return of a cheaper sports only package, I'm happy

Kids of a certain age range really have no interest or attention span for movies anymore. They would rather watch a 5 min youtube video of a youtuber talking about a movie than actually watching it

Almost caught up on this. It's been good. Not ready to call it great. It's clearly a big improvement over the other recent SW live action stuff. The amount of ads though is ridiculous.

While Andor was quite expensive. It's also very good and well liked. Andor is also expected to have 20 episodes in total, that are all close to an hour long. Making the cost per minute to be pretty consistent with other SW content.

A sports only package would doom the majority of these bundled channels. And if Disney and WB have to offer these sports only packages to providers like Sling and Fubo they will for sure be raising the rates.

So Venue is probably never going to happen now. Maybe this eventually leads to better prices for consumers but I'm not holding my breath

Not really the same though. Super Mario, while a terribly average film, had people super hyped for it. The hype for this film is not even comparable.
