News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

I ascribe to the theory that they are moving HM merch here so they can close Le Bat En Rouge and make that part of a new Pirates queue. Haunted Mansion and Pirates are the only E-Tickets I can think of that have huge makeshift queues bleeding into walkways, and they are fixing Haunted Mansion's...

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

Not that they should develop on that serene space between Thunder and TSI, but there is definitely room for something. That space I measured to be .84 acres, which is about the size of Midway Mania with the queue included. It is larger than Spider-Man and Little Mermaid. It is larger than...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

What Galaxy's Edge really needs is to take the small roaming shows and character philosophy from Avengers Campus. Timeline be darned. Have characters from all sorts of Star Wars media that people care about. Obviously the original trilogy. Luke, Leia, Han, Lando, Vader. Have prequel characters...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I'm not sure how much space they have to spread out kids and do training with them, but they could repurpose the Doctor Strange show into something more training academy-esque. Bring out a bad guy and have kids use their latent sorcerer powers to defeat them.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

Monstropolis fits California Adventure well imo. Especially the 2012-2016 era. California Adventure works best when it explores the archetypes of locales in California. Radiator Springs isn't in California, but it represents car culture and the deserts. Grizzly Peak isn't a real California...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

I was pondering the same thing. If it's an expansion, it has to be a legitimate draw for the land. And if it's a D-ticket, it needs good capacity, which is tough to do in such a small space. Some sort of high-capacity simulator could make sense, given DCA is lacking one (sans Soarin'). Although...

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

Yeah, this has been shown for modern tourism during Olympic summers. But, it might be nice to have something under construction that could entice those Olympic visitors to book a trip in a few years.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

Avengers will likely be bigger. Transformers utilizes an elevator to make everything more compact and have two stories for the ride (like Rise). The concept art doesn't show a tall building.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

For those complaining about this being in DCA because it goes against the California theme, it's a heck of a lot better than it being in Disneyland. Disney is gonna build things they deem popular enough whether they can integrate it with a themed area well or not (we saw that with Galaxy's...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

I too feel like this ride is missing something. It really is missing the dynamism that this needs The ride feels like snapshots someone took of a stage play. It has too much emptiness, and too much reliance on seemingly unconvincing projections. BatB has a beautiful painterly like transition of...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Adding on to this, and as much as I hate to say it, I think the new style of off-the-wall Mickey Mouse storytelling is important for the frenetic nature of this ride. Whilst Roger Rabbit and ToonTown in general captures the Looney Tunes-esque vibrancy of hyperactivity, the Fab 5 shorts that...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I believe SNW is behind on construction, with initial plans to hand over the land to park ops at the end of August, there's still plenty of work to be done on the land. I could see the official opening of Nintendo be no earlier than March, but as late as May.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I could see the extensions being like a longer sewer scene, longer train tunnel scene, a re-arranged twister scene, but nothing major.
