The AMC movie theatre at Disney Springs

We saw Jurassic there yesterday. Fantastic movie theatre. Really top class. Which is more than I can say about the movie we chose.... :p P.s. you gotta try the cinnamon pretzel bites! :)

    Toy Story Land Already Disappointing?

We loved slinky dog. It’s a lot of fun and definitely not just for kiddies. I enjoy the hulk and rockit at universal so it’s not like I’m only into the mild rides :) For sure worth a ride for everyone! The alien spin ride was a bit disappointing though. Toy story mania as awesome as ever, has...

    Tipping housekeeping with coins

Hmm I guess if it’s different housekeepers each day they may not have known it was a tip. Just a coincidence it was only the days with coins involved! Will leave a note every day from now and see how that goes. Thanks!

Caribbean beach resort worth staying? Due to refurb

We are in Aruba right now. As we spend very little time at the resort anyway we are hardly affected by the refurbishments. Room is great and the buffet is fantastic value if you are on the quick service dining plan. Buses have also been great both to and from parks, though one morning we did...

    Tipping housekeeping with coins

Is there anything wrong with leaving part of the tip in coins? We like to leave a couple of dollars per day for housekeeping and on 2 occasions so far I have left half of it in quarters. Both times I left coins the tip wasn’t taken. What’s up?

    Garden Grocer

Another thumbs up for Garden Grocer. Have used them for a relatively large delivery in 2015, small delivery last year and have just ordered again for this year. Flying out tomorrow morning, woot!

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

With hour long lines just to get into Toy Story Land, how does it work if you have a fast pass? Do you have to turn up in time to queue to get into the land, or can you walk straight in at your FP time?

    Alcohol ID

Well that's cleared things up... :banghead::p If your alcohol is important to you, I suppose you just have to carry the passport around to be sure!

    Alcohol ID

Anybody go an up-to-date definitive answer on this? Would be great if I only had to carry my driving license and a passport photo on phone. Cheers!

Vegan at Walt Disney World - Nov 2018

AWESOME! What a location, and we absolutely LOVED Sanaa. AKL (and indeed the park itself) seems to be one of the most vegan-friendly locations in the whole of WDW

Vegan at Walt Disney World - Nov 2018

Any reports on vegan options at Woody's Lunch Box yet? :)

Dining Plans - Are they worth it?

Also worth noting is that not all locations accept the plan. The majority do, but I have encountered at least a handful of locations I was excited to add to our plan only to discover they don't accept dining credits.

Vegan at Walt Disney World - Nov 2018

Believe it or not, we had more than a handful of servers who didn't understand what "vegan" meant. Specifying "vegetarian plus no dairy plus no egg" seemed to help... I do concede, however, that it might just have been my accent! :p

Dining Plans - Are they worth it?

Our calculations indicated no, unless you go out of your way to order the most expensive thing on every menu. If you are veg/vegan (or don't eat steaks!) then it's a definite no. We didn't have a dining plan last year and can't imagine it being any more convenient than just having credit cards...

    Issues with Website/App for Reservations

Yeap, been having issues like this on and off. Nothing so critical though, it usually fixes itself after a couple of refreshes. I've even had my fp+ reservations disappear, causing a mini heart attack  They were back a few minutes and refreshes later though

    Disney Newbie...Help with Restaurants

I can offer a recommendation for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and lunch at Crystal Palace. From experience in 2015, both were excellent all round. Great food and loads of fun character interactions. Also did Mickey’s backyard bbq: event was great fun, food not quite as good as the others.
