News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

As a guest, I have mixed feelings. I like the idea of limiting abuse of the system, but I do see how it will make trip planning even more hectic for people who legitimately need DAS, as if it's easy today (planning a WDW vacation, in general). From Disney's perspective, I'm surprised they would...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

No one appreciates it more than the CM's standing out there too. Especially on either extremely hot or rainy days. Anything that makes their day just a little bit better is fine by me.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

What are the odds of Disney finally getting Harrison Ford to be involved in the attraction? Hopefully they'll give it another try, and maybe get him to finally record dialogue for Disneyland as well. I'm actually somewhat excited for this, it'll be nice for the option outside of Fantasyland...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

This is exactly why we will have Disney passes next year instead of Universal. My DD would only get to enjoy a very small amount of attractions in each park. EU looks to have more to offer her than the other two, but it just isn't enough for the $$. Once she's 40+ inches and if we have no more...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

I think Universal also agrees with this, and it is a concern for them. The funny thing is, they really believed that F&F would be a huge hit. I think anyone from the outside looking in could have told them better.

MK Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

Compared to Disneyland, MK has a lot more space to work with. So, where are they moving the arcade to? Anyone?... Anyone?... Anyone😢😭

News New 'Forces of Nature' acrobatic show debuts at EPCOT

I love it! Hope it lasts! It'll be one of those great small things to discover on vacation. Look forward to seeing it!

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Funny question, for those who know, was Primeval Whirl's 900 p/h capacity accounting for both tracks? If so, that seems pretty easy to beat. A quality high capacity attraction would easily match or exceed that, and probably TriceraTop Spin's 500ish too. To compare, Dinosaur is up around at...

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

They could always get one of those twirling dragon carnival rides, paint them purple, and park it in front of Imagination for a bit. Most people won't even notice the difference and it might even light up at night, win-win.

MK Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

What a world we live in when important decisions are made with the press in mind instead of your customers. Not to say that the press is right or wrong, but that I think an overwhelmingly large amount of Disney's guests like the song. Who cares about them though, as long as they book their next...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

Personally, I still think they should, but in addition to, not instead of. If it were up to me though, I'd do an indoor-outdoor hybrid park in the northeast. Unfortunately though, my few shares don't get much of a vote.

Legoland Florida adding Sea Life aquarium, Ferrari attraction

It appears as though Merlin has rebought the wheel at Icon Park and renamed it The Orlando Eye again. It already shows it available as an option for some annual passes again on their Legoland Florida website. For some reason, it's not linking correctly, but here's a source...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Agreed, although it would be pretty cool to put in the Rafiki's Planet Watch area, if they have no plans up there for anything else. It'd be a shame to lose the play yard, but they could have also repurposed the much better HItK playground at DHS, and they chose not to. Disney, it's called...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I could see a lot of smaller glass exhibits with a South American theme. Snakes, (tree) frogs, lizards, etc. Maybe some increased fish presence, although, perhaps not showing off piranhas? Or maybe they would. I'll be surprised if we get a larger exhibit, like a leopard or monkey. Maybe they...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I could honestly see them getting started with the PW plot right away and keeping Dinosaur open a bit longer since it wouldn't be hard to route people to the west pathway, closing just TriceraTop Spin. Then, once it gets further along, close Dinosaur, but you'll have a new high capacity...

News Typhoon Lagoon Reopens March 17, 2024

Makes the decision easy to decline the water parks and more option, since "water parks" isn't really plural, as it should be.

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

Soo... what you're saying is that getting exercise in a large theme park could do some people good? 🤣 I joke, but Disney would probably love the scooter upsells.

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

I still hope that the next generation of leaders will "get it", but I would not bet against it never happening. San Antonio is the best spot in Texas, I mentioned Houston because it has no parks while San Antonio has Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld. Not that Disney would see either as a big threat...
