They could do some temporary set up in one of the parking lots by the hotels. If they don’t have a new land or multiple new rides opening by the 2028 Olympics, they will have wasted a big opportunity. They need to hit the ground running.

Until they break ground on a hotel there I will refuse to believe the Toy Story lot will be used for anything other than a third gate.

Like the other reply said, there is talk of the Toy Story lot being used for an even larger hotel/dining/shopping experience so that doesn’t quite check out. Plus we all know Disney wants more DLR Hotels and I’m sure we will get at least another hotel or two in the expansion pads or Toy Story...

Unless they’re going to buy GardenWalk and put it there, this idea needs to go in the garbage. I’d hate to see them rush into using the Toy Story lot already. It’s the last option for Gate 3.

This is what I’ve been thinking. Tomorrowland needs such an overhaul that they’d need something sizable to shift crowds to while they work on that.

I’m going Sept 29-Oct 6th and this is what keeps me up at night. Also it just seems like a bizarre time of year to open a ride people get soaking wet on.

Toy Story lot needs to be saved for a third gate down the road as it’s their last option to do one, at least with what they currently have. They should take over gardenwalk and the attached hotel to do a Downtown Disney East.
