It is much better getting a "brunch" ADR than a "linner" ADR. The foods are much more different going from breakfast into lunch than lunch into dinner.

No. WDW restaurants do not hold back tables for walk-ups. Sci-Fi also tends to be one of the harder restaurants to get a walk-up for since the themeing is pretty awesome and there are not many good TS locations at DHS. Of course, people always cancel and change things around, so keep on the look...

The lounges at Kimonos (Swan) and bluezoo (Dolphin) are both pretty nice spots to hang out with a drink and app. bluezoo actually has a pretty creative drink menu and a pretty decent selection of beers. Jelly Rolls on the Boardwalk is always fun if you are up for a night of drinking and singing...

Unfortunately, it did not last long. You could always go for lunch. You still see the restaurants, I hear the food at lunch is better and it's also less expensive. The only downside (for some) is alcohol is served only at dinner.
