DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

I’m assuming that, if Animation Courtyard gets anything before D23 2028, it’ll be a small replacement for Lauch Bay. No real demo. This is where Bluey makes a lot of sense. Swap the M&Gs from Star Wars to Bluey characters, add a gift shop and an indoor playground. Then your lifeless husk...

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I don’t think that refreshes to Figment or SSE would be 7 year projects. Test Track was announced in 2022, closed in 2023, and will reopen in 2024. I could see a similar timeline here.

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

I can’t imagine Disney mentioning Animation Courtyard when Dinosaur, MuppetVision, Rockin, and the Rivers of America are all open. It makes no sense to me to say “here’s something ELSE we’re gonna do” when a lot of the other things they’re gonna do haven’t even started construction.

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

Well, they can’t use Horton (Universal) or Penauts (Knott’s). And really, other than Ice Age and arguably Rio, are any of the other Blue Sky properties relevant? I think Rio could be a neat addition to Tropical Americas, specifically the music. I can picture a streetmosphere band including...

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I’ve always been on board. Hoping that they put a substantial budget into theming on this, preferably extending to the surrounding courtyard as well.

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

Maybe we could even get a version of the unbuilt Roger Rabbit “Toontown Transit” ride with Otto’s School Bus.

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

I can’t imagine there not being an attraction. I’d wager a M&G in the Simpson house, Moe’s Bar, Krusty Burger, and some kind of attraction in the Nuclear Power Plant. Hopefully a dark ride of some kind.

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

Wakanda or Metroville from Incredibles depending on the Marvel contract and Incredibles 3 Box Office

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

I really think Simpsons will get Animation Courtyard and superheroes will get Echo Lake.

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

Anyway, I’m cautiously optimistic for this one. I’ve been a champion of this IP in this attraction for YEARS. I hope they really go all-in, but even a bare-bones retheme here could be a welcome change of pace. Regardless, I hope this isn’t the only attraction the Muppets have in the pipeline.

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I think it could see some form of representation in the future, but a full land is a big commitment. I’d expect more merch and maybe an entertainment offering of some kind first.

Considered it. Moving on from it. Disney has never substantially incorporated tv shows in their parks. I have no reason to believe Percy Jackson will be the exception. Simpsons at least has a 35 year legacy under its belt, and has a proven track record of theme park success.

DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

Happened with Universe of Energy and it was actually an unplanned EVAC 😂😂

DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

$50 is way too low. They’d easily sell more tickets than seats in the theater. It would need to be at least $300.

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I don’t think Happily is going anywhere soon, given how badly Enchantment soured them. DHS or DAK could get some nighttime love. I could easily see them subbing out Nemo. I think that when Indy goes, it won’t be another show that replaces it. As for BatB (and Frozen: Sing Along) I don’t see...

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

If I had to predict expo 2026 will be a lot of details for the upcoming projects, including opening timeframes for Monsters & Tropical Americas. Probably revealing things like the Monsters Stage Show, Cars Flat Ride, and Tropical Americas playground that we know are coming but have NO details...

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I think this makes a lot of sense. Monsters will either be open or nearing its opening, and Tropical Americas will be wrapping up too. Barring a major expansion in EPCOT, I think Courtyard is the most likely D23 announcement in 2028.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Which, to be fair is still better than Universal’s hodgepodge of IP from every other major studio.

MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

Little Mermaid was featured in both Spectro & Paint the Night. I would personally be surprised if Ariel didn’t show up in this one (even if I’m pulling for Aladdin instead).

MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

I was hoping they’d announce a date today. I’m going down in June for the final day of MuppetVision, and I’d love to know if I can plan to catch this too or if that’ll have to wait for a future trip.
