This morning Planet Coaster 2 surprise-dropped a new DLC ride pack that adds 3 more flat rides and 2 much-requested coaster types: The Extreme Spinner (Time Traveler, Ride to Happiness) and Family Launch Coaster (Big Bear Mtn.) They also launched a free update that adds some very useful...

It doesn’t suck everywhere, thank goodness. Don’t return to awful places— reward the good ones. Right now I’m still living in Florida, but in my town there are places with rotten service and wonderful service often standing right next to each other, just like anywhere else. The difference can be...

    All things Universal Studios Hollywood

After avoiding the ride for two years, I have finally been able to ride Forbidden Journey (IoA version) without getting motion sick. And it’s been a genuine revelation for me: Without the motion sickness factor, this is now one of my favorite rides ever. It’s nice to finally appreciate all its...

In all seriousness: What the heck is going on with the Walt Disney Company? Every year, it seems, I just want to edge slowly farther and farther away from nearly everything they do.

Micro Review of Planet Coaster 2: Yes. Holy— Yes. One could write a book about how great this game is. In fact, one could literally write and illustrate a book with the tools in this game.

My list: Disney -Zootopia Pixar - Luca Star Wars - Empire Strikes Back Marvel - Haven’t seen enough to judge. I loved Sam Rami’s first Spiderman, though.

I disagree (though it’s the type of comedy/mystery that’s kind of a one-and-done), but I am not excited for the sequel. Yet. But I’d certainly say Frozen is the last Grand Slam home run. I think it’s been over-marketed/exploited (in everything except Disneyland attractions), but that’s not the...

Seriously, I’d love to see them next do a live action Mickey Mouse movie using this horrific style. 😄 Once again, today’s Disney makes the world ask, “How did this happen?!?!?”

Those CGI dwarves are possibly the worst, ugliest things I’ve ever seen. And this is coming from someone who sat through Cats.

Isn’t it weird (but not terribly surprising) how Frozen does not have a ride at DLR. I’d vote for Zootopia as the last good movie from Disney Animation. And Encanto’s a fun, unique try at something different…

    All things Universal Studios Hollywood

I’m hoping that Epic Universe succeeds as a perfect combo of the two types of theme park design, with the central area using the coaster-structure-as-art spectacle as Celestial Park’s headliner, while the four IP lands take full-immersion-in-a-theme to amazing levels.

    All things Universal Studios Hollywood

I really don’t mind bare tracks as long as the end result is a big plus for that particular park’s vibe. I’d say that Velocicoaster, Hulk and Seaworld’s Pipeline are so beautiful as engineering works of art that their exposed structures make their parks’ skylines delightful. Certainly the...

    All things Universal Studios Hollywood

Velocicoaster is actually fairly well themed, as it’s brilliantly presented exactly as what it looks like: a steel roller coaster that the owners of Jurassic World stupidly chose to build inside a raptor paddock despite Chris Pratt’s character’s warnings. Ordinarily I’d put this in the Chester...

Avatar Flight of Passage vs Radiator Springs Racers

“Hey, Karen, wanna go see Avatar? The 3D is supposed to the best ever and it’s in IMAX.” “I dunno, Mike. What’s on TV?” “Crap.” “Eh, ok.” —-Years Later—— “Hey, Karen, wanna go see Avatar 2?” “Gee, I don’t know, Mike. I don’t remember anything about the first one except it had blue cats in...

Universal's food is still pretty bad

I’m at Universal often, and I’ve come to rely on these restaurants; I’ve had excellent food consistently at all of them: Three Broomsticks The reconfigured Circus McGurkus Thunder Falls Wimpy’s Confisco Minions Leaky Cauldron Central Park Crepes Theme Park Bargain of the Century: Scrambled...

Avatar Flight of Passage vs Radiator Springs Racers

Radiator Springs Racers. Everything about it that’s beautiful is all really, physically there. It’s pure fun. Comfortable Vehicles. Clear, effectively presented story. No annoying preshow. Great music. And.. oh, yeah… unpretentious. Flight of Passage is a great ride… for a simulation on a...

For me, it’s reached the point where, having been a Disney park fan for decades, I now wouldn’t care if they all closed permanently tomorrow. The ridiculous Corporation-speak explanation of how Cars fits into their new definition of “Frontierland” was the last straw for me. Gross. I’m so glad...

Is It Bad That I’m The Only Person That Loves Fantasyland Theatre?

Exactly. What motivation is there—for the people who currently run Disney—to spend money putting shows in those theaters? I’m really looking forward to the two live theater shows opening with Epic Universe— They look wild! (And Universal needs to address the huge empty theater spaces at the...

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

Funny how anyone can walk into an In n’ Out or a Chick-Fil-A and encounter—consistently—some of the friendliest, most professional, most enthusiastic employees in the country. No excuses, no B.S., just a lot of good people with self respect getting paid a decent wage for the hard work they do.

Black Cauldron would be great for a live action remake! Also Treasure Planet. Gerard Butler as Silver.
