no, it should ask you the first time you use it weather you wanna use their player or an external mp3 player, choose the external mp3 player and it should play though winamp

Correction....if you use winamp to listen to the stream, you can get a program called streamripper for winamp and it will save the audio to your hard drive as an MP3.....hope this helps:-) -Jim
