    Shrimp Cocktail at Le Cellier

I noticed on the menu updates that Le Cellier has changed it's shrimp cocktail. It is now with a seaweed salad instead of the wasabi slaw. I just loved the wasabi slaw shrimp cocktail and am so bummed. Has anyone tried the new version? I am not a huge seaweed salad fan so want to know if...

Can you do Walk In for Breakfast if you're not staying at the Contemporary?

I love looking at the other resorts....and eating at them! :slurp: Don't give up....also try calling during your stay. I have a friend who was just there Labor Day weekend and went with no ADRs (gasp!!)...she managed to get a dinner ADR for Chef Mickey's for her family of 5 the day of...

Most Suprisingly Good Item You Ever Had at Disney

My DH would say the salad dressing at O'Hana's. It's like a citrus type dressing and he was practically licking the bowl. I mean, this is a man who will eat salad if you put it in front of him, but sheesh! The chicken at Tangerine Cafe. I knew it would be OK, it's roasted chicken....but...

You know Your Trip is Fast Approaching When..

When you really study the menus to decide what you will have when you go. When I buy snacks/gum etc to pack for the trip. When everyone around you is sick of hearing "When I am at Disney next week...." When you decide that you can't wear a certain shirt at home because that is a "at...

    Updated 'Ohana menu

    How much does Photopass cost?

Another tip I've heard: make sure you write your photopass card number down (or take a picture of the back w/ your camera). That way, if you lose the card somehow, they can easily look up your pictures  If you have multiple cards, they can be combined onto one order of the CD.....this...

Dining with a picky 3 year old

Great advice! One of our DS is also very picky. Most Disney restaurants will work with you to make something she will eat. At Liberty Tree Tavern they also serve FF with dinner if you ask. O'Hana's has grilled cheese and FF with their family feast if requested. We have also had grilled...

    Dining Plan Need Help

Since you are staying at POR, you can dine at Boatright's. While I haven't dined here I have heard excellent reviews. I see you don't have a ADR for Tuesday (the day of your arrival). If you aren't going to the Parks, you can eat a nice dinner at one of the resorts or in DTD (Wolfgang's and...

    Spring Break

I just saw that our Spring Break is the week of Easter.....great...... :( We had that happen a couple of years ago and it was a madhouse. So, just use Fast Passes, go early in the day, and make ADRs for dining. But as stated above, it's Disney and there is no better place to be! :sohappy:

Alligator Bayou - How to get it?

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news........ We went for an anniversary trip in Sept last year. We requested AB for our trip having stayed in Magnolia Bend the previous year. My DH has mobility issues (walks with a cane and after a day at the parks is very sore and worn out). We hoped AB...

    Water Park Question

:) We like TL for young kids.....just my thoughts: There is a lot of shade at TL, plus areas with sand for little ones to play in. If you go to the "sides" of the wave pool, they waves are very gentle and my kids always enjoyed playing there. (Now that they are older, they are more into the...

    Collecting christmas tree decorations

There is also some Christmas stuff in the store in Canada, but I have seen some of the same items at the store in DTD. I also have a Disney tree....and it's full! But I love it so. Disney and Christmas, two of my favorite things combined :xmas: I also collect the Disney Hallmark ornaments...

    Refillable Mugs at Waterparks

You can use the mug at both parks. At the second park, you just buy a new barcode sticker (I think it is about 6$ versus $12 for a whole new mug). We bring our mugs back every year as this is allowed by purchasing a new bar code. There are refill stations throughout the parks. You just scan...

    Kona Cafe

We ate there in April for dinner and just loved it! It is now one of our favorite places. DH and I both had the beef teriyaki, and kids had kids meals. DS was 11 but they still let him order from kids meal because he really wanted a hot dog. He also loved the chicken noodle soup it came with...
