Tips on the Wilderness Lodge anyone?

We were lucky and got the 6th floor facing towards the MK and we got to see the fireworks every night, very slightly obstructed but it was great the kids could see them and we didn't have to fight the crowds. Very nice hotel, not my favorite but you'll enjoy it alot.

    Pop Turner?? Crowds early Dec

It's Pop Warner, as in football/cheerleading kids having their tournaments. We found it didn't affect the crowds especially during the day since their competitions are held then. But depending on which resort you are staying at their behavior can sometimes be questionable.

Discount too good to be true?

Yeah, sorry about that, that was definately a mistype. I meant Undercover Tourist. My brain is already fried and summer vacation hasn't even started for the kids yet. Oh well :) I called AAA and they only give you a 10-15% discount depending on what level of AAA you have. So I'm definately going...

Travelling with a 14 month old and bedtime.

My kids are now 5 and 7 and we pretty much still stick to regular bedtimes even at this point they go to be between 8-8:30. We are usually there for rope drop since they are up at 7, so it makes for a long day. We haven't done the MVMCP with them b/c to us a good nights sleep was more important...

Discount too good to be true?

I want to book Richard Petty's Driving experience for my husband as a surprise for our upcoming trip. I was looking around for prices and found that Underground Tourist had the Rookie Experience priced at $360 but the RPDE site had the same thing listed for $449. Has anyone had any experience...

How Old Were You When The Parents Kicked The Stroller To The Curb

My kids are 5 and 7 and have been to Disney the past few years. Last year I did not bring a stroller but we instead decided to rent one if we needed it. We only ended up renting one at AK and Epcot. Otherwise they walked and they didn't complain. If we found they started to drag a bit we took a...

    So...who hates turkey legs and...

No pins and No Turkey legs. Seeing people eat those thing really disgusts me. It looks like they just ripped a leg off an animal and started to gnaw on it. :hurl:

    Frontierland Shootin' Arcade

Last time we were there the targets were off and some of the guns weren't working. My husband got a bunch of extra shots for some reason and the one next to him didn't work at all. On a side note: Was there ever a shooting arcade in the Contemporary? For some reason I remember this when I was...

Moving to Florida for many reasons

We almost moved to the Orlando area due to my husband's job a year and a half ago. We loved the prospect of a lower cost of living than VA but were not happy with the crime rate in and around Orlando. Schools were also important to us and they also weren't that great in general. I too wanted to...

    Most under-rated Disney movie

Mulan. My daughter loves this movie. Mulan not only speaks up for herself but is physically strong too. Great combination for little girls to look up to.

I agree. I didn't like them at all, neither did my kids. We ended up throwing them out because no one wanted them.

    A Pixar girls weekend getaway

I have to say it did. It was good to get away without the kids (and even the hubby) even if it was only for 2 days. As you know even when on vacation, SAHM's don't get to vacation, so this was like a real vacation. I wasn't constantly looking behind or around to see where the kids were or making...

    A Pixar girls weekend getaway

We got in line. My sister got the schoolbread and I couldn’t resist the berry cream puff. Then we encountered 2 girls and their dad that were completely trashed doing drinks around the world (only 2 more to go!) for one of their birthday’s. We had to wait until the CM signed off in her...

    A Pixar girls weekend getaway

I got a strawberry tart and she got a apple tart. Both very good. However, after eating my tart I decided that my desserts around the world ended before it began. It was very rich and I generally don’t do a lot of sugar. There was no way I was going to make it. If I did desserts around the world...

    A Pixar girls weekend getaway

We woke up early and decided to head to Epcot for rope drop. Neither of us had ever done Epcot’s rope drop so off we went. We arrived to lines forming so we waited then the lines started to move, apparently Epcot doesn’t do anything fabulous like MK does for rope drop. Everyone went straight...

    A Pixar girls weekend getaway

We ended up at the pool, it was too tempting. We only brought carry-on so we went into the bathroom/locker room and changed into our suits and just relaxed by the pool for a few hours waiting for our text. We saw a the teenage girls again all ready for the pool snd trying to impress somebody but...

    A Pixar girls weekend getaway

After the winter and the not so great spring here in New England, this SAHM was burnt out. So when the announcement of Pixar weekend came out, this was a perfect excuse for a getaway without the kids. Although my husband enjoys Disney, his idea of weekend getaway involves a blackjack table, not...
