Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

In your opinion what made the original magical and one of the top grossing movies of all time. How can they catch lighting in a bottle a second time. Disney succeeded with the coaster in fantasyland.

“Snow White is a spectacularly inappropriate subject for a live-action remake.” Give me your number one reason… your opinion… as to why in your mind it’s “spectacularly inappropriate”

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

“Cinderella (2015) sold approximately 64.5 million tickets worldwide, which at today’s average ticket price (~$11–12) would equate to roughly $740 million in global box office revenue. The Little Mermaid (2023) sold around 54.2 million tickets worldwide, approximately 10 million fewer tickets...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Agree, it’s the ride that keeps the story alive in the minds of Disney fans. Who doesn’t enjoy seeing the shadows of the Seven Dwarfs singing “Heigh-Ho” as we exit the mine? If it’s a good story and people love the leads then this movie should hit 600 million. Sound track is solid and music...

At DisneyWorld, Cinderella castle illustrates your point, Ariel has an incredible attraction and so does the story of Snow White. Mine train is a highlight in fantasyland. The story of Snow White is alive and well… no reason it shouldn’t do 600 million. There should be a built in audience to see...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

I’ve ridden seven dwarfs mine train at Disney World with my kids countless times. It’s the “e-ticket”/ centerpiece of fantasy land that constantly has around 45 minute wait. New Soundtrack for film is solid. The ride continues the story and keeps the story in the minds of Disney audience. as...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

It’s the main event ride in Disneyworld Fantasy land. Anyone who has gone to fantasyland in DW knows the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

No it’s it’s not… I’ll stand by it and double down. Something is seriously wrong if a Snow White live action doesn’t do 600 million global. Here are the box office figures for Mufasa: The Lion King and The Little Mermaid: Mufasa: The Lion King (Released December 20, 2024) • Domestic Gross...

What does Disney view as insignificant leading up to the premiere of Snow White?

Yep… it’s everywhere. Be interesting how Disney handles the premiere when she takes questions about the film.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Disney hasn’t torpedoed anyone’s career with Snow White, but scroll through social media and it’s clear many fans think Rachel Zegler has sunk hers, or at the very least dragged the flick down with her. The backlash paints her as the villain… Be interesting what she says at the premiere.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

“When a pic is hot, tickets go on sale well over a month in advance. Juxtapose this to Disney putting Snow White tickets on sale March 10, less than two weeks before its opening. Whenever a studio pulls an advance-ticket stunt like that, it means there’s no anticipation for the film. Still, Snow...
