Deluxe Hotel, what are you really getting?

I don't really see much of a draw for the deluxe resorts that would justify the extra costs. It really depends on the invidual, because many of the things you all are saying are perks, I see as drawbacks. Location - for me, the only deluxe with prime location are Boardwalk and Yacht/Beach...

Resort Arcades, is it time for them to go?

My kids love the arcade, we just never have time to go in them because we are open to close park people. We usually go the day we are leaving, if we have a late enough flight.

Debbie Downer wrote an article for Business Insider

Whatever, let her publish that junk and keep the rookies out of the parks! ;)

Baymax interaction tips & wait time?

Yep, still there. This is my daughter getting squashed in January (the look on her eyes cracks me up every time)

Who else here prefers a stay at a Value Resort versus a Deluxe?

Me. I have kids who love themes and we need a food court for said kids. And for the amount of time we are in the rooms, it doesn't make sense to pay more.

    Regular Disney goers...

We like to try new ones but since we want to go as much as we do, we need to be budget friendly. Out of all the budget hotels, Pop is our favorite, so we've stayed there the most. You can see from my signature I've stayed at a lot!

Where else do folks vacation or is Disney your go to place?

I've been to a bunch of places around the world - Australia, Thailand, Italy and Sicily, Dominican Republic, Canada, Spain, and around the country including a yearly trip to Hawaii and several times a year to California where my in laws live. I live in NYC. I don't even consider my WDW trips...

Itinerary Help! 7 Day 6 Night trip May 21st-May27th

That's a giant question...could you give some more info to narrow things down? What do you consider "must do's"? Do you have any dining reservations, or places you have in mind for dinner? With 7 days of park hoppers, you can really do everything, so if you start to make a loos plan, then it...

This is the best merch I have found to date for Epcot. What is your favorite gift from the parks?

I still have this mug, in mint condition. Probably got it from my trip when I was 4 years old! Just drank out of it this morning! ETA: this picture is from the internet, but I have this exact mug.

    Autographs or no autographs?

If you are waiting on line anyway, definitely do the autographs. I get the books with the photo slots so then we print out pictures when we get home and the kids have a fun book of photos and memories. We've done this so many times though, that this last trip we decided to forego all things...

    Too Tight Scheduling Wise?

Just looking at your schedule - I haven't seen the line for Primeval Whirl shorter than 30 minutes in years. Just a heads up that that might take longer, but honestly you can skip Triceratop Spin if it is. That's just a regular spin ride like Dumbo/Aladdin/etc. Not a big deal to miss it.

    Too Tight Scheduling Wise?

That's totally enough time. You have until 1:40 to get on the line, you'll be fine.

News Circle of Life at The Land Pavilion permanently closing in early February 2018

I'm glad I saw this one last time in January! We hadn't seen it in years because...well, obviously...but it was nice to bring my kids. They got a kick out of it and they didn't realize how dated it was.

I strongly disagree with the closure of the great movie ride and the new direction of Hollywood Studios

Ditto all of this. The shows were nice..... 25 years ago. Time to update and/or get rid of them. I mean, that stunt man "audience member" in the Indiana Jones show has been wearing the same Hawaiian shirt since the 90s. The last time I was there, every single person around me picked him out...

What do you do after coming back from parks?

Before kids, I always had grand plans of going out for drinks in Pleasure Island after a full day in the parks. What usually ended up happening is we would drag our tired butts over there, have one drink and then fall asleep on the bus ride home. Now that I have kids, I can give up pretending...

    Last minute trip to WDW

The dining plan really depends on your family. If you search the boards there are so many discussions about whether or not it's worth it. For my family, it's not, because my kids barely eat and we are fine with grabbing snacks from the food courts for most meals. You do not need to rent a car...

YYou Just Won $800,000,000.00, What are you going to do!?

Definitely buy a house in Golden Oaks and never leave. Well, leave only to travel the world and see everything else there is to see.

    Hotel Help!

With kids that age, I would do AofA. The theming is great, the kids will love it. The pool is super fun. And I think food courts are essential for families with kids.

Only one FP for an entire day

It's frustrating. My opinion is don't FP TT - you can do single rider and the line is MUCH shorter. I would pick Frozen for the FP, and then get there at Rope drop and do Soarin. Or if you don't mind missing Illuminations, go on Soarin then. There will be little to no line!
