    Strategies for additional Fast Passes

I thought you were only allowed FP in one park per day? I've never had any luck getting additional FPs for anything significant anyway so I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make either way lol. But I'll be park hopping on my next trip and would love to try anyway!

Express pass necessary if only doing HP?

sorry if I was unclear - we are only going into the parks for 1 day. We aren't against doing other things, it's just not our priority at all. We are going there solely for HP but would do other things if we had time.

Express pass necessary if only doing HP?

I am a seasoned WDW visitor but have not been to Universal since Back to the Future and Jaws were the big attractions, so I have no idea how to plan this! We are going to Orlando in November and going to do 1 day at Universal (two nights, staying at the Endless Summer Resort suites which does...

Are you a WDW loyalist or another type?

We used to take day trips to Universal and Sea World back when it didn't cost an arm and a leg to go to Disney, and we would do weeklong trips. Also that was back when Universal was just one park and could easily be done in a day. So we haven't been to those in a while, since our WDW trips are...

60 days on the dot, and denied!

It's because people who are staying for 6, 7, 8 etc days were able to make their reservations a few days ago. We had the same problem for our recent September trip. Couldn't get FOP or Slinky Dog and we were online at 7 on the dot 60 days out

Question for those who stay in the values.

We used to be dedicated All-Star people (as you can see from my signature!) but we switched to Pop because of the shared buses. As of the last time I stayed in an AS (Oct. 2015) it was still a shared bus for all three All-Star hotels. And yes, just as you said, the route was Sports then Music...

When did Jungle Cruise start combining the stand up routine?

Ditto this. There may have been a few jokes before the mid 2000's but it was mainly a "serious" boat tour of the jungle. The full-on standup routine is relatively new.

    Hollywood / Epcot Fastpass Quandary

Plan 2. Get to HS at rope drop and do TOT first. You can do single rider for RNRC, which should still be relatively short that early, since everyone will run to Toy Story Land right away. You'll have to wait for Toy Story by the time you get there, but since that's all you want to do, you'll...

Were the lines really shorter back in the day or do we imagine this?

Interesting to see the early discussions of FP! I will point out though, that those are talking about paper fastpasses, which I would say were far superior to the FP+ system. Having recently been to DL which still uses paper FPs, I was reminded about how much better they are and how many more...

Disneyland vs. WDW loyalty: What are the reasons you don't visit the other park?

Like everyone else is saying - Distance. I live in NY, so it's much easier and cheaper for me to get to WDW. However, any time I am in southern California, I do DL as well :-)

If you can only go once...

Ditto to everyone - go! My 8 year old is already over princesses, so a lot of the magic with respect to that stuff is gone. She's still a Disney nut like her momma though, we just enjoy more "grown up" things. My 5 year old, however, is still enamored with the princesses and loves everything...

    Thoughts - Just Returned

Agreed. It's very frustrating when you've been waiting for a bus for a long time, and large groups with scooters come up just as the bus is pulling up and get on first (with their whole party, which can take up half a bus) and then you miss the bus, and have to wait again. Only for the same...

How fanatic are Disney World fanatics?

I thought I was fanatical but you all are even better! This year I went to DL in the first week of January, WDW in the third week of January, and WDW again just last week. Everyone I know IRL things I'm nutty but you guys get me ;):)

    SSE photos not working

My daughter's favorite part of SSE is seeing her face in the "movie" that you make on the ride down (she's 8). We rode it Tuesday morning and it didn't pick up her face, nor did it pick up my other daughter and an adult we were with. It only got half my face. So, my daughter asked if we could...
