News Eliminating Fastpass and Extra Magic Hours - confirmed as of May 28

I am waiting to see what they will do. I don’t want to be on hold for hours.

News Eliminating Fastpass and Extra Magic Hours - confirmed as of May 28

So does this mean just the dining plan portion is canceled and not the whole package?? I’d still like to see more details but this is starting to become a game changer for my Sept trip. I can understand the rationale, but unless they can give me a break on the cost of my trip without ‘free’...

News Disney Springs Begins Phased Reopening on May 20

How soon until we start seeing Disney plushes with face masks and toy hand sanitizer bottle accessories? "But honey you already have 53 Mickey stuffed toys!" "I want the Covid-19 Mickey!!! Special edition with social distancing stickers too!!!"

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Where are you getting 5-10%?? By the CDC numbers, and using 330 million for US population, the number infected is only .5%.

Would you visit Walt Disney World with these health-based operational restrictions in place?

I just came to this thread to post on this very thing. Of course I want to be safe, and would never put myself at any risk, but I really want to be able to go on my September trip just to experience Disney World in this 'environment'. I am curious. It's one thing to read and see about other's...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I am hoping they go with a policy like Massachusetts has - Masks mandatory in public if social distancing cannot be maintained. So if you are walking from Tomorrowland to Liberty Square and there is no one around, I see no problem with lowering, even if you pass people going the other way. But...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

They have probably paused all reservations until they A. figure out how it will all work; and B. get their computer systems updated. Despite the changes in park hours, the calendar is still reflecting the MNSSHP. Obviously it could change, but for now they are on - well at least Sept 13 when I...

    Caribbean Beach Help:

I'd go back to POR. They ruined CBR with the OPR overhaul and the Riviera construction.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I don't know that it could be legally enforced. Rhode Island caught the same flack early on, stopping cars from NY and NJ to tell them to quarantine. There were a lot of legal questions (hello US Constitution), and they changed their policy to anyone from any state. Even at that, how do you...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I very much agree with your sentiment, and I apologize if I came across any other way. I would love to see people follow the rules, but I also know people are going to do whatever they want to do. I can control my behavior though so that is why I wear the mask, and will avoid anyone who wants to...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

The goalposts have now been set. After weeks of speculation in communities like this, and week by week cancellations by Disney themselves, we have a mark in the sand. I have no problem with what Disney is doing and how they are doing it. And this information does not change my opinion on my...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

I see what you did there Mr Stark.

Would you visit Walt Disney World with these health-based operational restrictions in place?

Yes I have - and my answer right now is - "it all depends". I have a solo trip planned for September. I am planning on going. HOWEVER, I also will have no problem cancelling it if I would not feel comfortable. And I can't really say what that would be - it's mostly a gut feeling. If things are...

World of Disney Store change "change" your mind?

Overall, I am 'meh' about the changes. I like the openness (things could get really crowded in the old format) although I did like how each room seemed to be a different store (i.e. men's, boys, housewares, etc.). What gets me is the declining lack of merchandise marketed for folks like me (53...

TSA bans Star Wars Land Coca-Cola Bottles from all U.S. flights

You are all missing the point - they are made out of C4 plastic explosives........

Memories of your first visit to WDW.

1972 - 5 years old. - If you had wings - Flight to the moon - Small world and getting flustered when the cleopatra doll winked at me 😛 - Country bear jamboree - talking bears were awesome - Seeing all the wild animals on the jungle cruise - Got to ride front of monorail - 20,000 leagues -...

How long will you enjoy theme parks, or how long DID you enjoy the rides?

I am 52. I have been going to WDW since 1972 (7 years old). It will never not be a place of magic for me. Haven't reached the point of not going on the thrill rides, but even if I do, there is just so much more for me to enjoy.
