Congrats on the adoption! Disney with kids a wonderful experience. My husband and I weren't blessed with kids, but I got to go with all my nieces and nephews for a few days in June. It was such a beautiful gift to see the parks through their eyes.

Part by the slide isn't that bad. I believe it's about 4 ft deep. It's hard tell based on all the parents standing around the bottom waiting to snatch the kids off the slide.:ROFLOL:Just to do it all over again.

Wilderness Lodge.....as soon as I hear the music as we enter the place and then see the lobby, I get rehooked every time. I do like Poly's and GF lobby as well, but not feel like home as WL does.

The classic. I tried the type with the strap across the front, but I didn't like the Velcro around the heel. Would have like to have the mary jane style but they don't carry it here. My husband did end up with the strap style.

Just got a pair and I love them. Can't wait to try them out at the parks. I was worried about the whole toe thing, but within an hour I didn't even notice it. They really do feel like you are walking barefoot.

Love things thus far......you'll be warming the place up for our trip which starts on the 11th. Looking forward to reading the trip report when we return. It will help with the withdrawals.

I've only once seen a snake at my resort. We were staying at WL, had been a very rainy season and one was on the deck near the pool. We informed the life guard. Wasn't a big deal.

It's similar to extra magic hours for rides. We've gone the last several years the first week or so it's been open. I don't recall any lines accept for haunted mansion....and it was maybe 15 minutes.
