    Monorail

Since the Epcot monorail primarily serves as transportation from the monorail hotels to Epcot, I imagine it'll be closed until all of the hotels are back to full capacity. This means summer 2021, when the Polynesian reopens at the earliest.

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

Interstate travel doesn't need to stop. Upstate NY has cities 5.5+ hours away from NYC, and had community spread from NYC when NYC got nailed. The lockdowns came just in time to spare upstate what happened in the city, and as a whole is doing ok. Point being, as long as the states with the...

Will Magic Kingdom have the same firework shows when they come back?

What’re the chances Fantasy in the Sky comes back, with our without updated song choices?

    Cash-Strapped Disney

So they put COP in their sights. That might be a good thing since the show needs an update badly. The original audience the show was designed for to capitalize on nostalgia is for the most part deceased, and the present finally surpassed the show’s version of the future since its last redo 27...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

Please don’t comment on purple. It’s harder to read for those of us using dark mode 🙂

Bring over one attraction from Disneyland (and where you would put it)

Is there anyone else that thinks the Indy ride at Disneyland was overhyped, and liked Dinosaur more instead? It just seemed like it got through its course too quickly. The theming in the que was fantastic though. That being said, it would be the best attraction to clone, and for it to be...

Iger and Chapek Livid With Lucasfilm

I feel like this is also going to be Marvel’s (and Star Wars’s) undoing. The time investment to catch up to Marvel’s story is now over 30 movies. Even at 1.5 hours a movie, that’s 45 hours of content. If they keep going, it’s just going to get too much. Its not any better with Star Wars: 9...

What is your "Getaway" spot at the Parks?

My spot in MK is the Peoplemover. I honestly don’t know what it is, but I just find it so relaxing. In Epcot, Katsura Grill or the area behind the U.K. is it for me. The food’s great in Japan, while the U.K. can be quiet at times. However, Epcot is leagues more relaxed than any other park...

What you could do with your Disney Monorail toy

Still sad I had to put this up. I can’t wait for the day I can set up a sprawling set of monorails again.

DHS Any Bets on What Comes After Galaxy's Edge?

C and D ticket attractions are generally higher capacity. This allows the park to have more things to do, is a breather from exciting E tickets, and gets people out of the walkway. In short, they round out a park. Just imagine the Magic Kingdom without the Peoplemoover, Peter Pan, the...

Has Disney met Half way with Epcot fans?

As long as this ethos remains true, Epcot will be fine. It’ll feel familiar, and fresh rather than being on life support. The rest of the world changed. It’s time Epcot did too.

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

Yeah. This kid is a better driver than anyone on this forum. I hope Tomorrowland still hands out paper driver’s licenses.

How does WDW compare to rides outside of it? Can you name singular rides that equal or better Disney's?

Battle for Metropolis and Houndini-The Great Escape from Six Flags come to mind for me, though the latter has a tendency to be heckled during its preshow.

Where Would You Put The Incredibles?

ALTERNATIVELY: You give them a proper dark ride in Hollywood Studios. The story is that you’re a reporter in the city when a super villain attacks. You rush to the scene, and eventually get captured. The Incredibles save you, and you end up on TV. Edits: corrected grammar

Where Would You Put The Incredibles?

I’d actually argue World Showcase. You convert part of the Odyssey Center for a “Recruitment” event with Edna, and have to stop a villain around World Showcase. Yes, this would basically act as a replacement rob Agent P’s Adventure.

News IllumiNations Dining Package coming to Epcot later this month

I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner, but I do have to wonder how pervasive this will get. If the new show cannot replicate the experience exactly no matter where you are on the lagoon, this might be a one-off.

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

I don’t see why they just wouldn’t keep it closed and do a refurbishment on the engines since it won’t reopen until after the Christmas crowds leave.

EPCOT Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

Look at it from a different angle. If you were to visit WDW and/or Epcot today, what stands out the most? Is it something you can fall in love with, and why? I have a feeling this is going to be one of the last things that’s going to come out of the IP for the sake of IP or nothing cycle...

EPCOT Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

That whole contest that Hiro won could be a great setup for that. As long as the ideas were revolving and fresh (internet manipulation being a present topic, Apple really demonstrating the health functions of the watch, etc)
