Well the post linked in your signature shows that you were convinced that changes were only on the fringes. And you even promised to retire to the imagineering forum. A new ride is more than just changes on the fringes.

Well Everest is 4424' long which is about .83 of a mile, which is quite a bit of track. By comparison (WDW): Big Thunder: 2780' Barnstormer: 679' Space Mountain: 3196' and 3186' Primeval Whirl: 1378' Rock n Rollercoaster: 3403' (from RCDB)

Just an FYI: As of Friday 1/14, the tarps and scaffolding are down on the San Fran side. There is still more work to do on that side up on the curved roof portions.
