Must do Disney has been removed

I would assume Stacey is a member of Actor's Equity and any updated version is off the table until Disney works out a deal with them.

That very well could be. There is just a ton about this virus that we still don't know.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

My point is community spread never stopped in New Zealand. It was just occurring among a group of the population that was either asymptomatic or had very mild symptoms, the young. We wouldn't know that spread has been happening among the young because New Zealand has done nothing close to wide...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

My guess is New Zealand was never virus free and there has been transmission going on during that 102 days, but all carriers were either asymptomatic or had only very mild symptoms. I think the virus has infected a much larger percentage of the world's population than most people think. We...

Universal, also, has already started laying off team members. Disney has so far held off on that action allowing currently furloughed employees to keep their health insurance. I understand the poster being upset, but the anger is misplaced in my opinion. Also, the poster is in much better...

Abigail Disney often gets much of the facts wrong when she goes on her diatribes.

The average first time positive is more important than the overall positive rate when it comes to judge how a state is doing recently. The rolling 7 day average was above 15% on first time positives not that long ago in Florida. The current rolling average is a big drop.

But as I understand it, those outbreaks were not connected to the schools.

I don’t think any of the spikes in Europe have been traced back to schools.

Kind of hard to name because if real heard immunity was achieved the virus died out. There could be thousands of them throughout human history.

They are doing double bus runs in my sons district. A bus will do half it’s normal route drop off students and then do the other half of their route.

Perhaps they should just set up classes and home rooms in a way that would allow the students to remain in the same classroom all day and have the teachers change classrooms.

I agree we can't make policy decisions on things that are very preliminary. One hopeful thing with at least a couple of the vaccines that are farthest along right now is the T cell response that they seem to generate. That gives hope that even if a vaccine doesn't offer long term immunity...

The science right now isn't there, yet, to say that you are wrong about what it will take to achieve herd immunity. There are some interesting studies done and currently underway that suggest that there might be a rather large group of the population that may have some level of natural immunity...

    Disney's FY20 Q3 Earnings (8/4/20)

They should move Epcot’s opening and closing back at least an hour and maybe two if they want to entice locals to come to food and wine. Give people time to make an evening out of it after they get off of work.

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

In all honesty, if they have faith in Chapek that is too long. Two bosses is one too many. The longer the situation remains the same the more likely you are to have problems.

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

How long Iger stays as Executive Chairman depends on how the board feels about Chapek's performance. If they really like and have faith in Chapek, Iger won't be in that position much longer. CEO's don't like working with the former boss looking over their shoulder. Either Chapek is the boss...
