Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Wouldn't they time it to the moat being drained happening now? When they WANT to they can build very fast. Seems like they would want this done before Summer crowds. I'm sorry you are not excited @Lee. I think this is great news and utilizes space not being used. As long as it is done nice...

    MK Mine Train Live Chat

I like it. It probably should have been done a year or so ago but I like it. It will add some dimension to that area and take the heat off other areas. Barnstormer is a cute little quick ride, and Thunder Mountain is a Disney classic outdoor coaster so if this winds up right in the middle of...

    Frozen ride replacing Maelstrom?

That would be plain dumb. If anything WS needs more rides for kids to enjoy. Sorry purists but I've been visiting EPCOT since I was 2 (34 in June) and I hated WS as a kid due to lack of rides. I'll go out on a limb and say no way they go meet and greet in that building. Snow White ride was a...

    Frozen ride replacing Maelstrom?

Am I the only one here that thinks redoing the ride as Frozen theme is a good idea and the current ride is terrible except for the fun drop?

Something tells me that is classified information

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Check out the overlay of the plans a few pages back. The moat will be there.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Sure but they just dropped a nice on ride video. Looks fun. Faster than I thought and yes it slows down while inside the show scene

Thank you very much @SeaCastle for the further information

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

The fact that those restaurants stay closed gets overlooked by us. It is kind of ridiculous. They built the new BOG restaurant because there was not enough places to eat. Why not open those back up? That expensive? I know nothing about operating costs for these restaurants. I fondly remember...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Thanks. This is what I'm hoping for, better flow with nice natural elements.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

There are a lot of negative moves they have made such as empty buildings and letting shows get stale but I don't know, it's still a great park. Casey's was desperate for more seating.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Trust me, I agree with what you are saying. I am hoping there is a nice compromise here where they fix congestion and add in some nice features where maybe you can sit in the shade and enjoy the ambiance. I appreciate that as well. I'm 33 with a 3 and 4 year old and we do not go hard core...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Look at the left hand side though between the Adventureland bridge and the Liberty Square bridge. That is a lot of under utilized space. What I would like to see is a very nice natural pathway and maybe some places to sit in the shade. I just want to make the point that I agree with what you...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

It looks like the majority of the moat is untouched then after looking at these plans. Does anyone know though about the bottom of the picture closest to Casey's and the ice cream parlor if the moat will be stopped there? It is hard to tell if what looks to be extended areas to sit or stand...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

What if it is done well and blends into the natural features?

Do you have anything of substance to add to the conversation? Thoughts on the overlay image of the plans?

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Makes sense but why do you think these investments do greatly diminish the attractiveness of the MK?

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Interesting if that's all it is. I like positive change. PUSH contract ending = negative change therefore I express my disappointment. This project? positive change if it means I can get to point A to point B without feeling like my children are in danger...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

I have zero issue with where money is being spent at the Magic Kingdom. After building the new Fantasy Land it seems to me that they sat back and started looking at how to improve infrastructure. Monorail automation, Casey's seating, Frontierland walkways, major Hub construction. These are...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Thanks. I'm also not quite sure why utilizing wasted space is a bad thing with the caveat that they do it well and integrate theming. I hear you that say you don't want everything to be paved over. Something tells me they will handle this right because of where it is.
