To me the ideal Simba lot buildout would involve one main land like a catch all Disney Animation area as the first phase, then down the line you fill out the rest with two mini lands. Those could involve Fox IP.

The Simba lot sounds like it would be logistically easier to develop than the Stitch lot on the DL side, and with the EGW likely to be completed in time for LA2028, you would want to strike while the iron is hot by announcing the first phase of the Simba buildout at D23 2028.

I wonder if the plan now for the bridge to Simba would be putting it in the Paradise Gardens area maybe taking out the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.

Is it possible maybe the Sunset showcase theater plot gets leveled for a standalone dark ride or walkthrough not part of the avatar land?

I think the most Marvel will expand out will be the Hyperion.

I dont think they would put avatar in that spot. It would block off the entry point to the Simba lot when the time comes

Theater attraction have never done well at DLR. This land needs all the space it can get. Close it and use it for a secondary attraction or walk through.

My guess is that once Avatar comes online in 2029-2030, DCA will get a full rebrand dropping the California moniker. Think Disney Cinematic Adventure.

Muppets never did pull well at DCA though. And that entire backlot is heavily rumored to be tipped for Avatar.
