Thinkin' you are pretty much 100% correct. They just did a remodel and retheme to BTM, and I think if they do anything to Splash, it would be a repaint/&remodel. Yeah, there are a few crazy animals in the oasis that are nowhere else in the park. I seen a kangaroo and a peacock there on my first trip to DAK. I thought I was going crazy until I got home and verified that they do have kangaroos in the oasis!

@mamamouse --- I am sure that Disney has battled this problem before. Any animal, no matter what it may be, will have a stinkin' smell that is unbarable. They may have some specially designed system of fans, or something related to that on the vehicles that keep the smells away from the guests...

True, but isn't DAK still a zoo in a certain way? I mean, Disney has their ways of making it look 'free roaming' when it is actually not really that, but contained. Disney uses many illusions to the average guest in order to make it look unlike a zoo.
