    Disney World Lawsuit

^ And I believe the original report was that the child tipped the tray, and it spilled on him. EDIT: I was right: I am not saying there isn't liability on Disney's part. This goes far beyond "common sense" in legality, and normal circumstances. Again, there's more to this case...

    Disney World Lawsuit

How is this a lapse in common sense? One can assume that the cheese isn't going to be so hot as to give second and third degree burns. Skin, no matter what the age of the person, is going to burn if it's too hot. I'm repeating this, because a lot of you are making this case to be a lot...

    Disney World Lawsuit

I posted this elsewhere.....but as a Liability Claim Rep in a previous life, there's a lot that goes into both sides of these claims, especially when child is hurt. For those of you using the McDonald's case as "stoopid" Americans, the only stupidity in that case, is the fact that the media...

    Is Soarin always like this?

Yes. Soarin' is always like that. BORING.

    ATMS/Snack Carts?

ATMs are Chase. Chase is the "official" bank of WDW. I know the ATMs in Epcot are in the bridge between Future World and World Showcase, next to the kids play fountains, and the World Showcase ATM is off the rear left of American Adventure, back by the bathrooms.

Moving Marvel rides from Universal to Hollywood Studios?

Now if the Dippin Dots guy says it's true, we'll have a trifecta of confirmation!

    Disney, Universal win insurance waivers.....

Not sure how it's kudos for SeaWorld.....do you know anything about the coverages they provide through their programs? It could be the same as the Disney and Universal programs, thus they felt no need to apply for a waiver. Honestly, we're talking about part time employees. The fact that...

    Attendance Troubles at The World?

None of these park chains ever release official numbers. How can they even report on it?

    Info on Imagination post-show...

No, contracts state how long it'll run. Good management would have a plan in place should the contract run out without a resigning. They didn't have that in place, and with Kodak's financial woes, it should have come as no surprise that there was a good chance they'd pull out. Sorry, bad...

    Info on Imagination post-show...

Good management would have a plan for eventualities. Pathetic.

What goes on in the old Image Works?

The green screens were for Dreamfinder's Film School. A group of people would film a movie entirely infront of the green screen from Dreamfinder's instructions. Then they'd show the completed film with the backdrop inserted at the end. Comical, but it lost it's luster after a few years...

My first Disneyland trip - thoughts and fair comparissons to Orlando

Very nice recap, Martin. I've been to WDW/MK almost ten times more often than DLR, but I still find myself enjoying each equally. Both have so many subtle differences that make each park enjoyable. I'm glad to see you're now a Indy convert too! :animwink: I agree with almost every one...

My trip report and observations - new and improved 2010 version!

Thanks Martin. Good to hear the news on SM...and great find on the SSE music! Can't wait to hear your opinions on MK versus DL. :drevil:

DL vs. WDW - My observations

A minimal drop at that. :( Honestly, if you're going to rely on gimmicks, sound, and flashing lights to rate a coaster better....well, then it's not worth the argument. I'll take Matterhorn over DL's SM anyday. I enjoyed it, but yeah it really didn't do much for me. Drops and random...

DL vs. WDW - My observations

POTC - Queue is longer at WDW, that's for sure. I don't think there's a better entrance loading area to a ride than DL's POTC. Love the bayou! SM - I still don't know why everyone rates DL's better. Yes, it's smoother, but the ride just makes right turns over and over. There's no drops...

I think you mean, a minimalist EPCOT, is a happy EPCOT.

Has Disney ruined other parks for you?

Bushc Gardens (Tampa and Williamsburg) are fantastic parks. Maybe not up to par with Disney...because they're completely different experiences...but beautifully landscaped, with rides you won't find anywhere else. To anyone reading, do not pass up a chance to go to these two parks. Well worth...
