    Child swap with several adults

We really like the child swap option at the attractions. We will be going with grandparents joining us for the first time in September. How does the child swap work when you have 4 adults? Will we be waiting in more lines? Or will it work the same and the CM will just give us enough child swap...

In What Way Has Disney World Surprised You Most?

When I saw the thread this was the first thing that I thought of. On our first trip there I was amazed to see a janitorial CM looking UNDER shrubbery to find trash to pick up. The place is that pristine. Related to this - every time I've got my kids on a carousel at, say, the mall or something...

    EPCOT or Hollywood Studios?

I'll refrain from the "depends on..." and reply with what I would do. I have little kids, and we really love DHS. Yes, EPCOT is huge, so the potential to fill a day (or more) is greater there. But DHS just has some can't miss attractions - Toy Story Mania, Lights Motors Action, the Jedi...

Bus or Drive from Hotel to Park?

Must agree. We drive whenever we go anywhere except MK. (MK you might as well take DW transportation since you'll be forced to take a ferry or rail once you get to the "MK" parking lot anyway). But for the rest we drive. Easier, faster. Kids are all dead tired at the end of a long day and to...

    Movies without attractions....

TRON! Maybe when Legacy comes out. Hopefully it's a huge hit and doesn't only attract programmers and Disney will decide to do an attraction for it.

Is Christmas at WDW worth it?

We went last year the first week in December. Crowds were small. Prices were good (had a free dining plan promotion) and yet the Christmas decorations were up. It was a great time to go. I've not been later during Dec so I can't comment on the time nearer the holiday but we're very crowd averse...

    Tomorrowland Speedway --> Pixar cars

Anyone know whether Disney has considered updating tomorrowland speedway with the theme of Pixar's Cars movie? Seems like that would make this attraction an even bigger hit with today's generation of kids.

    Splash Mountain Referb.

Ah - very good point. I was going to say wouldn't Disney only install lap bars once there was an incidence of someone falling out? But like Master Yoda said - it's to save people from themselves perhaps. There are a few places a person could stand up and hop out where Disney wouldn't want them...

    Casey's at Magic Kingdom?

I haven't tried Casey's yet. Always thought - why would I go all the way to WDW to get hot dogs when there's so much other great food there... but I hear it's REALLY good. So we're gonna try it when we're down there in a couple weeks.

Best Attraction in the World: Disney's Animal Kingdom

OK - so I agree Everest and Safari are awesome. But c'mon - gotta give props to Tough To Be A Bug when it's the best 4D experience in all 4 parks, and anywhere really.

    Minor attraction issues.

There is chewing gum in places on Splash Mountain. People reach out and stick it on the sides of the ride when they're in an area of the ride where they can reach. Kinda bugs.

Anyone using the mobile wdw site?

Hi all - I've spent a little time clicking through the mobile wdw site... and am curious if anyone has used it WHILE AT WDW. You finding it handy? Not enough info posted? If you're using it throughout your day in the park, what are you using it for?

Must have "Get through the Parks" Item/Tool

Wow - we saw people walking in with nothing other than ticket/money/phone and were ENVIOUS. We've got 4 kids 7 and under and we are like a traveling army with all our equipment. Extra clothes for when the baby gets messy, diapers, many many water bottles, snacks, camera, blanket to drape over...

    Resort pools in December?

Does everyone use the resort pools in December? I'm going in a couple weeks (Dec 1-6, Port Orleans Riverside). Last time we went it was HOT (90s) and it was great to be in the pool... but I believe WDW area in December is more like mid 70s during the day, upper 50s for the low.

    swine flu concerns.

On another thread someone recommended staying away from the drinking fountains, which I thought was a good idea since we're the type to refill our water bottles for free at the drinking fountains.

Differing saturation of sponsorship in the parks?

Can anyone explain to me why Epcot is so saturated with sponsorship while the other parks aren't so much? When I'm in FW I feel like I'm walking through an engulfing commercial. Why does the entrance fee manage to finance the other parks just fine but Epcot can't stay open without the...

    Checking ages at gate?

For the most part a great response from the forum members here. Just want to chime in on the side of those encouraging the road of full disclosure and honesty. I just saw something on the news the other night about some ladies getting caught stealing from a department store and using their...

    A Thread for Everyone!

I hope this counts as "positive recommendation" and not a pan on an existing ride... because my kids LOVE the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. But I'd love to see them rebuild the cars into cars from the Pixar movie.
