I’ll keep you up to date. Before I posted this, I was definitely driving, however, reading all the support and suggestions has helped. Thank you to all.

    My fear

The drive is just the beginning. As soon as I get to the hotel, everything, and I mean everything is thoroughly disinfected. I also won’t let housekeeping clean the room for the first few days, in case they are sick. I also touch nothing with my hands. I find other ways to push down on a lap...

    My fear

The thought of someone sitting close by & coughing or sneezing on me.

    My fear

I view the car as a contained environment. As long as my wife and I are not sick, we are better off than trapped in a plane with sick strangers.

    My fear

My guess is that you did get sick on the plane. The incubation period is what caused the sickness to rear its ugly head during the trip.

    My fear

Every year, after the miserable drive home, I fool myself into thinking that I'll be ok with flying NEXT time. As the trip gets closer, I begin to realize that I was just fooling myself. I can't even believe that I haven't learned my lesson yet.

    My fear

Thanks for all the great replies & suggestions. To me, getting sick, shortly after getting off a plane, seemed a forgone conclusion. Reading your responses helped me realize that, after all this time, I may have been wrong.

    My fear

Every year, I buy plane tickets to Orlando in order to avoid a 16 hour drive. Every year, as my trip date draws closer, I talk myself out of flying, and into driving. It's not the fear of flying. It's the fear of getting sick (cold/flu), having been on a plane, sitting by strangers, during flu...

    Festival Center???

My hope was an answer as to how long I've got before the restaurant closes. As to how long I have to live after eating there....Believe it or not, when I get a double order of nuggets and fries from the Electric Umbrella AND dip everything in mayonnaise, it's one of the healthier meals I eat...

    Festival Center???

With so many culinary/beverage demonstrations happening at the former Wonders of Life Pavilion, I'm guessing that they'll need a larger space for the Food & Wine Festival. I've always wondered if there was a festival center for the Flower and Garden Festival, since I go yearly, but always in...

    Festival Center???

Does anyone have any idea, now that the Wonders of Life Pavilion has been roped off for construction, where is the Food and Wine/Flower and Garden Festival Center going to be located?

    Parking at different hotels

I can’t say that I agree with this anymore than I would say that I don’t agree with this. @CaptainAmerica, you’ve created the Schrodinger’s cat of arguments for me here. Both my agreement and disagreement seem to exist simultaneously.

    @CaptainAmerica, care to elaborate?
