Few years back we had a free day in our schedule so two of us tried to do as many in a day as we could (all parks) Got somewhere near the high 30's and it was late in EMH at MK and we called it quits.

I was in CA last month and we had a day with no plans for the entire day. I can honestly say we decided not to go to DL because the price was too high for a one day ticket ($89 or something?), even I thought so.

I have to say I am shocked how many people never return during the window. Then again I'm in that group sitting outside the entrance on the bench waiting until the clock hits my time so I can finally ride. I don't have children but not sure how that can be swayed by an hour.

Exactly what I was thinking. You pick one ride you want to reserve throughout the day. For example a family chooses to reserve a ride time for Space Mountain at 1:00 p.m.
