I wish we knew who these people were and what has happened to them. Are they all actors? Truly random people (doubt it)? What became of the young child? How old did the old woman live to be?

Is it just me or was the only thing noticeable that they updated the signs at each hole? They seemed to focus an inordinate amount of time on that fact in the reel. I certainly hope the motorized candy cane pole that took your ball up to the top before plopping it into the hole is back!

I imagine they would have done a recording show with no one in the audience, an empty theater so everything was captured without interruption and be able to run the show multiple times or even stop it if there were any issues. Then I would hope they did a recording with a full audience but one...

This is an old article I found on Archive.org but in 2003 someone got to go backstage at MuppetVision and there's lots of interesting info about a lot of the effects including Statler and Waldorf's flags and how the Sweidsh Chef works in the projector room, etc...

I think the rocks would look better if there was water cascading down the base of the sign and into the rocks. Maybe there's more work to be done there? Let's see.

Can I ask how he was trained to be a friend of Sweetums? My understanding, at least years ago, is that everyone who became a friend of Sweetums had to get trained by Jim Henson Studios on his mannerisms. I'm guessing that isn't the case anymore unfortunately but was just curious.

Agreed. I think it's a real sleeper that people don't realize how great it is. I really like how they have Ty Burrell basically reprise his realtor role of Phil Dunphy from Modern Family to sell us on buying some land on Earth :D

When I was there at the end of January, the pole itself was no longer there. I'm hoping they removed it to work on it and will reinstall it during this refurb.
