Caribbean Beach: Can you see Spaceship Earth from the resort ?

The foliage has gotten too tall for you to be able to see it at this point, I can remember staying there when you could see SSE but its been a while since you could see from there, I remember marketing shots and preview video with it clearly visible back when the resort opened

Is EPCOT too dark at night?

I love it dark, adds to that old world feeling especially around World Showcase

    Utilidors

Its just a way to get backstage without going out in public that's all they're there for to bring stuff into the stores and restaurants without having to go on stage with it.

    Airline Kicks Students Off Plane

I used to work at the local amusement park here in Allentown, these same groups would bring their hoards of teenage boys and rent out the entire park for the night, they were given 2 bills, one for the admission and one for the damage that they caused when they were there, no one wanted to work...

Epcot & DHS rumors from Screamscape

The biggest issue with Racers is that it rains in Florida and that ride system does not work in the rain

Misinformation from guests at the parks is astounding

I can remember years ago I was in line to get into MGM and there was a group of Asian tourists with Universal Tickets trying to get into the park and the poor CM trying to explain to them that they were at the wrong place and had the wrong tickets.

    Caribbean Beach Resort

Don't bother with Shutters, its horrific at best, the rest of the resort is gorgeous, my favorite place to stay on property

    Planning first solo trip ever

I've done some business travel by myself so being alone in the room doesn't bother me, I don't really see dining being an issue I'm a quick service type of guy and don't really go to the sit down places unless I'm with someone who wants to so I don't really see that being issue. Thanks for...

    The Monorail.

Its probably just an easy way to get the movies division to pay for a paint job on the monorail.

    Planning first solo trip ever

So long story short, its been a while since I've been on a vacation, the past couple years have been trying to say the least and I need to get away from things for a bit. I have been to Disney many times over the past 25 years, I think the actual count is close to 15 trips but either with a...

    Favourite moderate and why?

You won't be disappointed in either Port Orleans Resorts or Caribbean Beach, CBR is more spread out so I would suggest trying not to be in Trinidad South (where the pirate rooms are) as that is quite a walk to Port Royale where the food is. The only moderate I am not a fan of is Coronado...

Are they still enforcing the fastpass return times?

Thank god they finally are enforcing the rules, nothing angers me more than when I follow the times printed on the ticket and everyone else just tries to force their way through the line. I hope they stick to their guns on this.

    Check-in Time

I've never in the past had any problems getting into the resort or into Orlando for that matter, I always try to fly down as early in the day as possible. I usually will also dress for a day in the park on the way down. Last time I was down flight landed just before 9am, got to the resort by...

    Question for the Seasoned Veteran

Bayou, much more secluded than than Magnolia, shouldn't be that many kids there that time of the year, the moderates are always from my past experiences much quieter than the values

Phone call from Meg Crofton rep.!!

I have usually been surprised by Disney's guest relations staff, I can remember after a trip in 2002 filing out a survey and mentioning a particular unmagical interaction with a Monorail Pilot being contacted by a Monorail manager to go into more detail about what happened, when it happened, who...

    Epcot monotrail not running

Maybe it's time for some new trains they don't even need to be a new design just one for one replacements just updated with new technology

How much longer will you stay at a Disney Resort?

Its simple economics, if the rooms are full and there is still a high demand Disney can charge what they want for them, I can remember going in '02 or '03 when they were doing 7 days for the price of 4 or something like that I miss those days but with occupancy being what it is I don't ever...

    Epcot Millennium Central removal, possible

I would much prefer they cleared the entrance plaza of those horrible stones and restored the sight lines in the front of the park so SSE looks like its floating above the park like it used to. The tarps are the least offensive things left over from the Millenium Celebration they do lend some...

    new epcot rennovations

    Trans-Atlantic in May?

May on a cruise ship in the middle of the atlantic is not going to be fun, expect it to be cold and potentially rough weather, remember the water temp of the ocean at best is going to be in the low 50's and that'll affect the air temperature and being that your in the middle of the ocean there...
