    Possible Frontierland expansion

New Fantasyland cost $425 million and that included rockwork and actual construction. Why would refreshing the current attractions cost over $350 million? Unless TDO is lying about NFL, and it really cost $600-700 million. If no real construction is involved, some lengthy refurbs shouldn't cost...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

I doubt TDO will touch Frontierland for another 15-20 yrs after New Frontierland is finished. The only way TSI/Riverboat will be shuttered is once they've drastically increased capacity. Frontierland has two possible expansion pads beyond RoA, while Adventureland has one (behind POTC/JC) and...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

Big Thunder, Country Bears and Splash will probably be covered in New Frontierland's $400 to 500 million budget. One new attraction, even an E-ticket shouldn't cost that much. I could see $350 million being spread around the non-Frontierland/POTC attractions to get everything else up to par for...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

So that $350 million is the budget for the 50th, more or less (in terms of fixing up attractions throughout MK)? Ok. Good to have confirmation, even if I'd like to see Tomorrowland refreshed.

    Possible Frontierland expansion

I'd rather see all of Tomorrowland fixed up, with one C/D as icing on the cake. The only way I'd support Adventureland getting the $350m is if we finally get Fire Mountain or JttCotE. A clone of Aladdin from DCA would be great, too.

    Possible Frontierland expansion

Considering that one CM mentioned New Tomorrowland, also. I'd guess $350 million for that, and a separate $150-200 million budget just for the 50th (spread over a 2.5-3 yr period) $350 million could fix up Space and CoP, enhance the PeopleMover and Speedway, replace Stitch, and possibly give...

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

What's sad is that New Fantasyland could have really been something special. Wonderland/100 Acre Wood take over Cosmic Rays/Speedway B&TB E-ticket as headliner SWSA gets Sleeping Beauty replacement Cirque Mickey and Casey Jr. replace tents and Barnstormer PPF, IASW and Pooh upgrades There was...

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

But Tom Sawyer Island is a huge part of Frontierland's asethetic appeal... and it's one of the last quiet MK attractions. I'd much rather they expand Frontierland in other ways. Below Splash (1 attraction) North of Big Thunder/HM (2 attractions and TS restaurant) Reopen Golden Horseshoe Add...

Bob Iger at WDW now ... BoD to Follow?

The last 1.5 yrs at MK lol. FP+ has created some ridiculous posted stand-by wait-times during summer, Christmas, etc. Just look at MDE or any wait-times app,

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

They're getting a dark ride, too. It's just that they're probably getting the same one we have, so Iger and co didn't think a direct clone would be worth hyping up.

Bob Iger at WDW now ... BoD to Follow?

I don't mind MK getting $750m-$1b potentially. I just don't want Epcot or AK to get overlooked because of that. AK could use some love for its existing attractions (Kali, Everest, DINOSAUR), while Epcot needs a FW overhaul. If TDO had used some of the MM+ budget to enhance the non-MK parks...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

Adventureland has a sizable expansion pad behind Jungle Cruise. And if they removed Jungle Cruise completely (Animal Kingdom makes MK's JC seem pointless), they could considerably increase Adventureland. Removing JC is extremely unlikely, so a reworked ride path to allow for expansion is more...

Bob Iger at WDW now ... BoD to Follow?

Just something @ISTCNavigator57 mentioned in another thread, but: If New Frontierland is 'just about to be greenlit', according to @whylightbulb, would that mean MK's $350 million is for something else and New Frontier is getting its own budget? Or would MK's essentially be Frontierland...

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

...I'd be inclined to agree... if only, because it would mean Tomorrowland and Peter Pan have a shot at getting some love for the 50th. Not likely, but possible. Personally, if TDO was in a 'go big or go home' spending mood, they should have just gone with $5 billion for the whole resort. $2.8...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

Theming it to Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn or Lewis/Clark makes more sense tbh. Another generic 'wild mountain' wouldn't be the best addition... especially when Frontierland is the one area of the park that doesn't need something with a height requirement. It's days like these where Tomorrowland or...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

If Peter Pan is a POTC/HM-caliber E, I may have to go to Shanghai someday lol.. If the new Peter Pan gets less than 2,000/hr, WDI is bone-headed. Seriously, if you're only going to have two dark rides, make them both 2,000+/hr. Same with Crystal Grotto. They'd also be smart to make SDMT 4 per...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

I just don't think Tomorrowland in MK needs another coaster. Tomorrowland needs its own E-ticket equivalent to Spidey/Gringotts/FJ, and some C/D people-eaters. Along with the fixing of Space and CoP. I'd love for an expansion behind the Speedway that includes: UFO Encounter (once rumored for...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

I like Laugh Floor, but it's simply not Tomorrowland. It's a people-eater, but if the New Frontierland expansion significantly increases capacity, I wouldn't mind seeing a similar Monsters Inc show moving to DHS into one of the Animation Courtyard theaters. I'd say 10-12 yrs down the road...
