I could see Muppet-Vision 3D being at EPCOT in the space where Pixar's Short Film Festival is. You can just watch those same 3 shorts on Disney+. It isn't the best fit or anything, but it kind of makes sense. It does give off the "weird 90s" vibe like Honey I Skunk The Audience did.

The only thing that really strikes me as "traditional EPCOT" is the restaurant Space 220. It feels like something that could've easily existed in 80s EPCOT.

I got that idea from MartinsVidsDotNet 1999/2002 Figment video, that the turntable system was a bit problematic.

I think the turntable system was also a somewhat small/big part in why the 1983 ride closed. It kind of proved to be too revolutionary for it's own good and it caused many issues with the ride.

I actually got a Figment shirt for Christmas. It's too bad they care more about nostalgia merch for 40 somethings than actually doing something with the ride.

Actually, Dreamfinder is god, and Figment is Jesus. He was sent down to earth to spread the word about the wonderous things Imagination can do.

I think it's Disney who kept pressuring them to do that; Kodak were forced to despite not being in the right financial situation to fund the refurb.

Figment is really more of a Gen X/first-half Millennial thing really. At least the original ride; I do love the original, but I obviously never rode it as it closed four years before I was born.

Figment didn't really exist in 1976. EPCOT didn't open until 1982 and JII didn't until March 3, 1983 (or March 5, not sure which)

To this day, I have never been to Disneyland/California Adventure; i'm on the opposite side of the country (Georgia). While Disney World is also quite far from where I live (7 hour drive), the road trip isn't long enough that we would ever wanted to fly. I only flew once in my April 2024 visit...

I mean, they might've planned to with WESTCOT but that was cancelled. They may have not wanted to bring him over to LA but now that a movie might be in the works and they're releasing Figment merch overseas, it's hard not to think of it as them wanting to give Figment a wider audience.

Do you think they'll add a Figment ride in Disneyland/California Adventure? If they're promoting Figment outside the US, i'm almost certain that Figment will come to the West Coast one day.

I know this is late but this post is actually really cool, despite the ride being abysmal.
