A SE FL resident here. Its a great crowd time to come to Disney. Weather usually is hot with very little cooling off at night. You should be alright with the F&W most crowds don't come in until after the opening and are worse on weekends.

I love the FQ its my favorite but for $500. I would go to the AKL. Got to try it once and may never get that price again.

They do let you downgrade. I switched from POFQ to POP and they just gave me a refund for the difference since I was paid in full.

With grandkids I say Pop Century, the kids will love it! That's where I take my grandchildren. When its just husband and I we stay POFQ its layed back more adult friendly.

If you don't carrying it around you will see lots of people with them. All parks have free wifi, not always a good signal though.
