Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

As I have previously stated, it was a WDW partner company training. For lodging and sales partners.

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Because in the meeting they said "making it's US debut at Walt Disney World."

Two big new features coming soon to MyMagic+

Yesterday, I was in a partner company training and when the option goes live, your additional FP+ selections can be in a new park if you would like. That was explicitly stated to us as a feature to present to our guests. They didn't give us a live date though, just stating "very soon this spring."

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Very doubtful. Shanghai has an exclusive and doesn't open until June, so anything we get will be after that, but before DCA for sure. WDW will get the US debut.

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

I also saw a sneak of the filming process for the new film today and WOW! African savannah, Great Wall of China, major cities world wide... It's going to be amazing!

Disney Survey on implementing a $15 resort fee

Honestly, this is just plain dumb. Yes, nearly every resort in the Greater Orlando area charges a resort fee, however the math doesn't support the idea. On average, the total "cost" of an occupied room at a regular hotel in ~$45 (includes cleaning, hotel service staffing, and routine...

    annual pass n00b

Hey Matt! Welcome to Orlando! I love it here, and think everyone else should, too! LOL! Here's a link to the AP Benefits: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passholder-program/passholder-benefits-and-discounts/ We also have a section to tickets on the board, most people will say you should ask...

Or how to read the nifty flyer that perfectly explains it with pictures and everything. :banghead:

    WDW and Teens

Not every teen is going to LOVE Disney, but I always did as a teen. I chose to go there my Senior year Spring Break (with my parents, even). I chose to move there and do a CP at 20 and went to the parks nearly every free second I had. I also chose to move back at 27 and buy an AP and again...

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Technicalities that I am not aware of, and neither was my buddy. I would assume that they would replace the projectors, but maybe not upgrade the film. And the reprogram may be something that can be stored on a drive and test ran, but again that's not where our expertise is. It'll be...

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

So, fun info today from my buddy in internal marketing, apparently the "End of May" date (reportedly, May 27) is the opening of the third theater but will still have Soarin' Over California. Then, the movie switch will occur later in June or July, depending on Shanghai and when they finally open.

Popular Movies Don't Make Popular Attractions

So basically, well done attractions, regardless of movie affiliation, will be popular, and poorly executed attractions, regardless of movie affiliation will not be. Got it.

Popular Movies Don't Make Popular Attractions

Not to mention TSM, which is WILDLY popular ride that accompanies a WILDLY popular franchise of movies and also featured in the OP's profile picture. And please, don't waste the spaghetti. ;)

Disney PhotoPass coming to runDisney events

I was thinking they would either do a card at the end of the race (similar to Storytime with Belle) with all the pictures in it, or use the ride technology where they take the shot and attach it with RFID tech in your MB. I am excited to see more details on this since I will be pushing my way...

    PrePaid Cards vs wristbands

I would use two separate gift cards, one for food and one for souvenirs. Maybe make the food card re-loadable and have the souvenir card be a firm amount that you agree on together. Also, I would make sure he has a lanyard to wear with his ticket and gift cards so that he can wear them on the...

If Wishes was replaced with this..

I vaguely remember that, with the huge street puppets and what not. I remember how cohesive it all felt. I would love that at MK: a parade and fireworks that worked together and played nicely, and worked with CTM (because that makes me cry just like Wishes! does).

With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

Being local, the price increase doesn't really have a huge effect on me, and I understand the thought process Disney is using here from an economic perspective, however, I would just lower the caps for phasing. Plain and simple. Then raise prices because you can guarantee that there are no more...

If Wishes was replaced with this..

I quite like that idea. Something totally immersive would be wonderful, and something that can bee seen at least from the entire parade route, to avoid the mad dash to The Hub afterwards. I love Wishes! so much, the entire track and the story it tells bring me to tears every time (at least...

Rides you always get stuck on

Usually that is due to the fact that they run too many boats, to create a false capacity and lower wait times. If they removed 2 or 4 boats, this issue would nearly disappear, with the exception of load/unload issues or real technical issues.

No outside food and drink in WDW parks?

I am curious how much food allergies play into this, too. I have a friend with a peanut allergy and even the slightest contact with peanuts/peanut butter/peanut oil can send her into anaphylaxis. By eliminating outside food, Disney can protect the contamination of hard and soft surfaces and make...
