That's probably due to the incorrect color hue which what make you think of pre-Tweetsie. XP

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

No, I swear that photo was taken after Tweetsie, because I can tell that Roger had the incorrect "red and yellow" pinstripping from Lilly on his cylinders instead of his correct "yellow and white" pinstripping.

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

But if you said that the photo was taken around the late 1970s or early 80s then how did the photo show a heat exchanger present on the Roger? Think again, did Roger receive that pre-heater in the late 70s?

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

Actually that photo was taken around 2004. :P

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

I'll admit, removing the sanders on all of the WDWRR locomotives is a really stupid idea, no offense.

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

I thought opening the cylinder drain makes a good show and prevent the wheels from slipping... XP

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

Don't worry, I heard they're now under strict training on operating the locomotives by opening the cylinder drain, ease on the throttle, and put the Johnson bar in neutral position when departing Fantasyland.

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

I know this is the past, but I was once like those over-reacting jerks reacting to that rather unpleasant Lilly Belle wheel-slip video, but then I realize that berating the trainee is not going to work. I've decided to go easy on her, because I know she's a cast member and cast members want...

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

Because I think they're caution about the Tron cast members going inside the Tron tunnel.

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

Thank you, I'm sorry that I have to bring this wheel-slip incident up from roughly a year ago, because I kept thinking about these rude and over-reacting users on Twitter being hard on that trainee spinning the Lilly Belle's wheels, and I want to defend her that she's not a "lost cause".

Here's the YouTube video by Disneyrailfan1996. Look around the 49:55 mark:

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

Yes, but it was very lucky that the trainee engineer is not making Lilly going too fast and the locomotive only suffered minimal damage to her wheel flanges. She probably eased on the throttle or opened the cylinder drain after blowing the whistle for the Tomorrowland crossing on the other side...

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

YES, that will explain about the infamous Lilly Belle wheel-slipping incident happening way back in late November 2022! But that's okay, the Lilly Belle's tires only suffered minimal damage and the engineer who have accidentally spun Lilly's wheels learned her lesson to be more skillful on...

    News Roy O. Disney overhaul

IIRC, prior to Strasburg, Lilly had frame issues which caused her to tear up the tracks when running on extended periods! 😬

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

YouTube user cple1 said that the Roy and Joe Fowler's whistle is an American 4 inch 3-chime, because the whistle's chamber shapes were rectangular compared to the Crosby, Lonergan, and Baldwin. Here's a closer look at someone's photo of Roy's American whistle on Flickr:

Well, looks like my wish came true now! The Walter is now wearing Roy's Crosby 4 inch 3-chime:

Not to mention Roy's steam generator is still activating during 2016:

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

You know despite Walter, Lilly, and Roger all wearing the same "high-pitched" Buckeye 3-inch 3-chime whistle back then, they sometimes have different pitch tones depending on their age, wear, or how the engineers sounded them on the handle chord.

    News Walter E. Disney overhaul

Excuse me, dude, I'm not trying to be "angry" or "rude", I'm just reminding you "calmly" and "nicely".

Lilly Belle and Roger E. Broggie cylinder pinstriping mix-up

Fun Fact: Before Lilly and Roger came to Tweetsie, the former had the correct red and yellow pinstriping on her cylinders while the latter even had the correct yellow and white pinstriping on his cylinders, which matches their logo features and lamp pinstriping. Lilly with her red and yellow...
