    What did you do?

The finish line picture is full of awesomeness! Walked three miles at the track with friends last night. One girl talked about doing the Rock n Roll half in New Orleans. That would be three weeks after WDW. Wonder if I could do that??? Congrats to @6laurac and @a2grafix for getting back on the...

    What did you do?

So glad that you guys had a great time running together!! That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm not sure about all that talking. On my run tonight I tried some GU Chomps and discovered that I can't run, chew and breathe at the same time. I almost choked to death! Throw in talking and I would be a...

7 miles at 11:30 pace. Everything felt great except the stupid new shoes. They are definitely going back!!

    What did you do?

4 miles in 42:42. My short runs are getting faster and my long runs are getting longer. That's the way it is supposed to work...right??? Planning for 7 miles on Sunday and if that goes well, I will probably graduate from physical therapy on Monday. They make a big deal of it, you get a...

    What did you do?

Unlike us mere mortals who run to eat! Seriously...I've eaten like crap the last week but lost three pounds!
  9. ChristaH

    What did you do?

If you feel like your body can handle it and you have the time to train, go for it! Several people have told me that once I do a half, I am going to want to do a full, but I am just not seeing that. The toll on my body and my time would be more than I am willing to sacrifice. Hats off to you...

    Proof of Time questions

Now me AND my sister have proof of time issues! She ran her first 10K over the weekend..the Wild Shrimp Shuffle in Titusville as part of the Titusville and Space Coast racing series. She told me after the race that there were some issues with the markings on the course. Some people ran less...

    What did you do?

@Kristia my PT has me focussing more on strengthening exercises than stretching and I can tell such a difference. I do them twice a week in his office and twice a week at home. So be a good patient! No more talk of candy corn M&M's!! I made the mistake of buying the carrot cake ones at Easter...

    What did you do?

Pay attention to your hubby! What a luxury to get such a precise diagnosis at home!

    What did you do?

I personally think it is a good idea to train eating chocolate for any race! (or any reason!) In fact, now that I am running over an hour, I started experimenting with hydrating while I run and recovery drinks after. I started with the Gatorade chocolate recovery shake and loved it...

    What did you do?

Thank you for the encouragement, @Kristia My short runs this week will be 4 miles and I will try 6.5 or 7 next weekend.

    What did you do?

6.2 miles in 1:13:15. The farthest I have ever run. But I was wiped out and could not go one more step. How am I ever going to make it more than twice that far???

    What did you do?

3.75 miles in 41 minutes in my new Mizuno Enigmas and the Under Armor ProCore compression shorts prescribed by my physical therapist. These things have so many criss-cross bands they almost run by themselves!

    Thinking about trying Hokas

    Thinking about trying Hokas

Came home with the Saucony's and they are definitely going back to the store. I ran 3.5 miles in them and about half-way through, my arches were aching and my feet were slipping around in the shoe. I like my shoes tight but they convinced me that my old shoes were too tight for long distances...
