    What did you do?

Five miles yesterday morning. It's in the 70's here. I'm going to try for 12 miles tomorrow. Hopefully it will cook down some before then! I have actually started talking to my sister about what we will wear for the WDW Half. It's getting close...and real....and scary!

    What did you do?

Thankful for muscle memory and a good training base! 10 strong miles plus 1 slow crampy mile, but by then, I was determined to do 11. And only 1 minute slower than the last time I ran 11 miles. I ignored the little bit of pain in my glute, because @joel_maxwell and @Donald Duck said it...

    What did you do?

Thanks, @JillC LI I just need to run more and get those endorphins flowing again!

    What did you do?

It's been a rough couple of weeks for me. Went for my normal 5 mile run on the TM last Tuesday and had to quit at 3 because my right hip and glute were hurting so bad. No idea why. Then I could barely walk on Wednesday. I rested and did my PT exercises for 10 days. I ran yesterday for the...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Very last corral for the half. :( I guess we know now how strict they were about the Nov. 1 deadline. There was no 10K I could run within 2 hours of me by Nov. 1. I ran one on Nov. 2 and turned in my time before noon on the 2nd. Oh well. From what I've heard, I"ll pretty much be walking the...

    What did you do?

That's my favorite kind of run.

    Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5k

I'm considering the Rock and Roll 1/2. I'm doing the WDW 1/2 in January, so it depends on how I feel after that. I live in Baton Rouge and there are several halfs in the area late January - early March. I'd like to do another half, but we'll see!

    What did you do?

Five miles on Friday and 8 yesterday. Yesterday's 8 miles felt really good...probably my best long run so far. I cut over 2 minutes off my previous best 8 mile time. I'm starting to learn how to pace myself depending on how far I plan to go, so I'm not going out too fast then it at...

    Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5k

oops! sorry about that! We had a great morning. It was my first 10K so an automatic PR.....LOL! Hope @cloe111479 had a great day too!

    Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5k

@Sweet Melissa I wish I had seen this earlier! I ran the NOTC Lakefront Classic too. We could have had a meet-up!

    What did you do?

Only made 3 miles through my planned 5 miles on the treadmill last night. I could not breath..I guess the remnants of the head cold I fought all weekend finally got the better of me. I'll try again on Friday!

    What did you do?

Yep, I will own up to that! The cold rain got the better of my new-found resolve to improve my cross-training last night. Tortilla soup with the hubs at our favorite Mexican restaurant won out over an Aqua Zumba class. I will be sorry tonight when I have to go 5 miles on the TM.

    Philadelphia Marathon Report

I have had several people tell me that once I do a half, I am going to want to do a full. I love a good challenge, but I just don't see that happening. I may fulfill my need for a challenge by pushing for a faster time in a half, but I just don't see my body holding up for a full, nor do I...

    What did you do?

I've been bad about taking care of my cross-training, @joel_maxwell , but your report shows why it is so important and I need to pay more attention to it. BTW....as I was contemplating stopping before the end of my planned 11 miles yesterday, I heard Isabeau in my head telling my legs to quit...

    Philadelphia Marathon Report

Congrats on your PR! I guess these things are kinda like bearing children. The pain is awful in the moment and you swear you are never going to do it again, but then, you just can't help yourself! LOL!

    What did you do?

Ummm...are you sure about that?? ;) Just kidding....way to stick it out! 11 miles yesterday on a sunny Sunday afternoon around 50 degrees. I love the challenge of running, and how I feel the day after, but the actual running is still torturous. It does eventually feel better, doesn't it?

    What did you do?

No DVR on the treadmill at the gym. If I'm lucky, I'll get to watch Dance Moms tonight.

A2grafix's Wine & Dine Half 2013; coast to coast challenge Part 2

Yep...I feel the exact same way about my hips and knees. So far, so good! Great report...love all the pictures! But seriously....you need another Disney run on your calendar!

    What did you do?

@joel_maxwell that is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time! Congrats to you and your girl for a great race and great mentoring. Yay for @Kristia and Dan! After short runs of 4.5 and 5 miles during the week, 8 muggy miles last night were exponentially suckier than the 10 miles I did...

    RunDisney shoes

I would have considered the old shoes for casual, walking around, but I have no need for pink Minnie Mouse shoes at this stage in my life!
