HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

No surprise after listening to the leaked soundtrack, but I’m obsessed with this show. The music, the message, the projections, the fountains; they all coalesce so beautifully, especially during “Remember Me” and the signature song. Some larger pyro at certain moments would have been great, but...

Rumor Disney bus driver busted for grooming kids on chat while at work

Even the 'improved' thread title had me doing a double-take that perhaps Imagineer Zach had gotten caught for something abhorrent. Not cool at all. Let the sadness of the topic speak for itself.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

I’m completely with you - I think this ride is all the better that it isn’t entirely dependent on its namesake IP (but rather the iconic music that’s a quintessential element of said IP) to be an absolute blast. It’ll hold up even if the MCU’s Phase 2 doesn’t.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

The first day I attempted to ride (last Saturday, 6/4), failed to secure a boarding group and didn't purchase the LL. The next 6 days (Sunday - Friday), opted for both, and the last few VQ attempts continuously got an 'instant' boarding time. Wednesday to Friday included a ride companion as...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Spot on. I find it slightly hilarious that my easy #1 (Conga) is an easy last place for a blogger I immensely respect, Tom Bricker. Most of our other opinions are aligned, so it's okay that he's wrong here. ;) (Kidding!)

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Agree to disagree - there are absolutely some great Marvel third acts, but I find many of them (even in otherwise-iconic films like Black Panther and Shang-Chi) to be a CGI slog. Cosmic Rewind is much, much more entertaining than that baseline. Like Slinky Dog (mediocre effort) and Mission...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Standby Line and Lightning Lane status

This seems like a ride where, if they wanted to, they could move it off the VQ system very quickly. Will be interesting to see if that happens, or if they keep it going to make sure everyone’s conditioned for Tron.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

That’s fair. I would compare the ride portion of Cosmic Rewind to the third act of a major Marvel blockbuster (actually far better IMO), in that the substance might not fully be there, but the fun + music factor are exactly where they need to be for a fantastic time. I also never found the...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Stuff of nightmares for me haha - while I'm marginally disappointed to have only gotten it once, at least the next experience will be that much more impactful!

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

On the topic of “Disco Inferno,” recently came across a remix on Spotify that still captures a lot of the original’s magic, yet with a modern flare. Have been listening to it on repeat today to capture that Cosmic Rewind nostalgia (ended up getting Inferno, “September,” and “One Way or...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

All fair enough points (not sure I agree on Ratatouille being more immersive; have also had a similar detox from the Orlando area), but I would take this one over VelociCoaster, and I love the thrills VelociCoaster delivers. Now that's a ride where the theming feels bare and meta, albeit...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

My sister actually got 5 songs over 5 rides (lucky! my first six featured the same three), and this was the one she missed. She’s completely fine with how things unfolded haha

    EPCOT Connections Cafe and Eatery

Cheers! I’m very dialed in with how I like to eat, and one of the highlights of coming back to Disney is continuously improving what that looks like (don’t even get dole whips anymore, embarrassing). 😬 So many great options these days: steak or chicken salads at Satu’li Canteen, of course the...

    EPCOT Connections Cafe and Eatery

Wow! Sorry to hear that, the presentation looked great. I’m often more than satisfied with simple protein and veggies at this stage, and it’s great that there are so many workable options. Even the Flower & Garden Festival booths, particularly Morocco and Japan, were on fire this trip. Some...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Standby Line and Lightning Lane status

100%, can confirm this take is spot on, as someone who liked Tron enough to ride it 5x in a day at Shanghai. Good luck ever doing that at MK!

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Standby Line and Lightning Lane status

That’s totally fair. Epcot and WDW are all the better for having one ride like this (it’ll easily be the top among many who enjoy coasters), but one of the cool things separating Disney from Universal and Six Flags is having a plethora of quality options for everyone.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

I ended up liking them all and found myself dancing to each one, but my top tier for the dance factor would be “Conga,” “September” (it’s sped up compared to the versions on streaming), and “Disco Inferno.” Worth trying again for more!

    EPCOT Connections Cafe and Eatery

Following up here, first meal at Connections (and last of the trip) is in the books! Very happy with the bánh mi burger, no bun, although it could’ve used a bit more heat for my taste. Also saw the General Tso chicken salad around - it looked glorious but wouldn’t work for low-carb, so much...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Totally respect this opinion, although I’d take the coaster format over the other two. Can acknowledge Rise feels more ambitious. That said, go back for repeat rides and treat it like a dance party in your seat. It’ll keep growing on you from there! (Aside from the pre-shows)

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Standby Line and Lightning Lane status

Universal certainly acts like it counts! For these two comparable attractions, it’s night and day which one I enjoy immensely and which one falls flat.
