"Value" Resort costs more than Deluxe

Can't we all just get along...:) Forums are for expressing one's view and opinions, but I see the original poster's point in feeling like they were being attacked. I read the other posts too and if it was me I would have felt attacked too.

    WDW Must Do's

Go to MK first, and on last day too. Eat at Flame Tree at AK. Go to DTD at least once. See at least one parade and one fireworks display. Do Buzz Lightyear, and Toy Story Mania rides. Spend at least 2 days at Epcot. :)

    Favorite Land

Old Key West or Saratoga Springs

I will disagree with a previous poster concerning SSR. I have never stayed at OKW but I have been to Saratoga. Our experience at SSR was wonderful, and we would definitely stay there again. The resort is beautiful and the villas are spacious and very nice. The location may not be as nice as the...

"Value" Resort costs more than Deluxe

I have been reading the posts, and I have to say I agree with you and I understand where you are coming from. We have been to Disney many times and have always stayed at Deluxe or Moderates. I actually looked at the prices for the "family suites" at the value resorts for our upcoming trip. We...

    Thanksgiving dinner @ WDW

The only time we were there during Thanksgiving in 2009, we at at Trails End at Ft. Wilderness. We were not staying there but it was a very quick drive from Port Orleans. They had a good buffet and all the traditional Thanksgiving day items were on the menu. They also had ribs and shrimp too.

    suggesstions?

The first time we went we had ADR, the second time we just walked in. The wait was fairly short and it was fairly busy that day at HS too.

    Question on Making Online ADRs

It's a shame but when online booking started several years ago , you could actually pick a time and search over a 5-6 day span. Not sure why they took that option away but i used it to find open slots for weeklong vacations.

    suggesstions?

Definitely go, we have been there twice and have ADR next month for our third time. The food is not bad either, larger portions of good ole fashion comfort food. Also try Le Cellier in Epcot and Crystal palace in MK.

    total DDP cost

Remember, although tax is included and tips are suggested, you may still adjust the tips based on service received. The only exception being if you are a party of 6 or more. In this case an 18% gratuity will automatically be added to your bill. if you do any dinner shows (Hoop De Do, Polynesian...

    Resort recommendations?

If you want moderates, the Port Orleans resorts can't be beat. POFQ is smaller and more compact, while POR is larger but has more activities and facilities. Either one will be better than CBR and CSR in our opinion.

Is POFQ geared more towards adults?

We first went to POFQ back in 2006 when my two boys were 6 and 8. Now they are 12 and 14 and we are going back there next month. We have never been to CBR but we love POFQ. We have also been to POR twice and enjoy that resort as well. As others have said POR is larger with more activities and...

Why do people love Downtown Disney?

We usually do one trip to DTD, even if we don't buy much. It is really nice in the evenings and my boys have always loved the Lego store. If anything, we use it as a respite from the parks and a way to see some of the stores and what they have to offer.

    What Items Have You Left?

My youngest son lost his favorite stuffed animal when he was 4 somewhere in Epcot. We searched for it for several days, including trips to the main lost and found at TTC. It was very sad for him since he had this since birth.:(

    Outlet Malls on I-75

Agreed, we live in Ga. and go to the one in Dawsonville quite often. it is a large one with alot of variety and a nice food court. It is off of Ga Hwy 400 about 35 minutes north of Atlanta off I-75.

    Close together trips?

The shortest interval between two trips for us was just over five months. We went in june 2009, then again in Nov. it was definitely worth the spending the money to see the Christmas lights since we were there for Thanksgiving week. My suggestion would be to see if you could schedule one big...
