Interesting. Because I teach at a public school in Ma and we don’t hold kids accountable to attendance at all. Like there’s some making up tardies at the end of the year but even that is like 30 minutes for 5 days of being absent.

I think Covid changed the way schools and businesses view attendance. So I think attendance policies in general are much looser.

It sounded like people might not be able to fit on MarioKart, but I’m never sure how exaggerated the size issues at Universal are

How exclusive are the Mario rides? And are there enough other rides in the parks for little kids? That would be what I question to see if Disney guests get pushed to Universal.

Even in the regular off times Disney isn’t the destination it was in my opinion. I have “exit interviews” with each kid at the end of the year and only 1 or 2 ever has summer Disney plans. Lots of Florida in general like Miami sometimes Universal, cruises, and lots of local beach type vacations.

We were at our local amusement park today (Canobie Lake) and it was practically empty. We walked onto everything through the whole day. Is attendance down at local parks too?

We live in Ma and can’t find hotels that aren’t real shady anywhere in the NE for less than 250. For instance we stay a night in Lincoln, Nh once a year in December and it’s 350. Have to spend at least 400 to get a not icky hotel at the Cape or Newport etc. If that makes sense.

Ya but average hotels like holiday inn express in most parts of the country go for that. The 5th sleeper rooms are an okay price. I think the tickets and food are the absurd costs.

I feel like it should be open for the Halloween parties. I’ve been waiting to ride it at night for years and now my kids are finally able to stay in the park a bit later.

This timing is crazy. Wouldn’t they want it open for the Halloween parties? Shutting it down in the middle of the summer is wild.

Are we sure you can buy it for just some days or will prepurchase be required for your whole stay?

And I still think people came out worse because of the inflation. Like I would’ve preferred prices that were more controlled to 1,000 dollars.
