I think I might be done with WDW.

Yup. I can see this system coming down the pike too. With some upgrade option for additional passes for an additional charge. I can also see a 'Super Duper Deluxe Extra Special Fast Pass Package' (8 passes per day you can park hop with?) offered to all guests, for $$$$ of course. (Similar to...

    Theme park tv wars continue!

I saw that one for Universal last night too! (And I looked for it online too, but couldn't find it.) Not sure if it was the same one but it was something about 'kids grow up' and theme parks needing to as well. Also noticed they used the word magic in reference to the Universal...

"Do not disturb" signs being removed from resort rooms

We did have housekeeping services; but still had the security check guy visit the two afternoons I was in the room. Though, I would think that housekeeping being in there once a day would be enough of a 'security check'. Seems that employees going in twice is overkill, unless these 'security...

    Credit card tickets

Never knew about these until I went to buy a cheap pair of sunglasses at the local Five Below-and there was the CA warning. I was like--hmmm, well, I guess my state says they're a go! And made my purchase .

So after calculations, the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is cheaper

Wow...this really breaks it down! I think sometimes we are so conditioned to believe the word 'package' must mean cheaper. Clearly that is not always the case. Has me thinking about the usual way we book Disney vacations in general, (package through AAA or Delta with flight, park hoppers and...

    Favorite footwear

I'm one of those flip-flop in the park lovers, for me they are comfortable for long days. Not 'dressy' flip flops-but the Nike Sport flip flops are super comfy (got mine at Kohl's on sale for $20.00). Sketchers makes some real comfortable sandals (and flip flops) too. And their footwear is super...

So after calculations, the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is cheaper

And I think this is a HUGE minus of the Deluxe dining plan, though it depends what you value in a Disney vacation. I don't like the feeling of reservation times hanging over my head...I don't value time spent at a table service restaurant. I don't want to be hassling about how many credits are...

Yacht Club vs Beach Club - is there really a difference?

Agree. Bad idea. I'm a dog, cat, hamster, etc. lover...but dogs at REALLY expensive resorts... ugh. Wondering the Disney thought process on this one. Were they NOT filling the YC rooms? Was there some conversation around, 'hmmm I know a market we need to tap into....dog owners.' For years...

    The Flu 😷

Happens in the women's restroom too! People just exiting the stall....and walking out. :eek:Boggles my mind...why you wouldn't WANT to wash your hands....

I think I might be done with WDW.

BUT, I guess there's a hitch (according to the FoxNews article I read on this Club Level pay-to-play extra fastpass option.) There is a stipulation that each guest buy a minimum of THREE days of the extra fast passes. So now you are talking $150.00 per guest, minimum. That's what I was...

    Wilderness Lodge, tips and tricks?

You made a good choice! I only stayed here twice (and it's been a few years) but loved the ambiance. By chance we were put in a room overlooking the pool side, loved sitting out there in the evening, the view on that side is really pretty all lit up at night. One tip I have is that there is a...

I think I might be done with WDW.

Agreed on this, at least the three fast passes per day are included at no additional charge! Apparently as of mid-January of this year Disney piloted a program of offering an additional 3 fast passes per day for Club level guests--at a charge. The additional 3 passes cost $50.00 per day per...

    Magical Express from airport question

You didn't ask this question but thought this info might be helpful if it is your first trip on ME... (sorry if its a repeat of what you already know!) I think it's a good idea to eat at the airport, bc you will be on the bus to POFQ for a while. It is the third stop for drop offs, (after...

    WDW 1977

These are great! Thanks for posting. I have never heard of Treasure Island before, I assume it morphed into Discovery Island. I also noted the warning on the restaurant listings stating: 'It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to consume alcohol.' A drinking age of 18! o_O Been a while...

Interesting fact I heard from a CM today at Magic Kingdom

'Pay to Pee'--app already has a cutesy name! :)

    Magical things DO still happen!!

That's what I was thinking! I know Disney will often (though not ALWAYS) bend over backwards to make something they screwed up right, I never heard of them doing so much for someone who is just in a tough spot. I think it's really cool though.

First time to stay at POFR, any help.....

I've stayed there several times. Stayed at PO Riverside too, but prefer FQ for it's more condensed size. Last time I was there (Jan of this year) we got building 5 on the poolside. (Just assigned to it, didn't request it.) This building, I think, is really the best! So close to pool, food court...

Interesting fact I heard from a CM today at Magic Kingdom

Haha! When I was real young I remember the G Fox store had these in the ladies room (called the 'ladies lounge' back then.) Cost to use bathroom was a dime. Of course people carried around a pocketful of change then. Wouldn't work today. But, a pay toilet app--where you just scan your phone to...

I think I might be done with WDW.

I remember that whole New Coke debacle well (and wow did Pepsi capitalize on that mess!). Though it had been advertised in heavily prior to it's introduction, basically the replacement happened overnight. One night 'our' Coke was on the shelves, next day replaced by the imposter New Coke. Boom...
