i live in Oviedo and like it. It's close to my F/T job and I feel safe there (even before living in the gated community I bought into in March. I am 30 miles to my p/t job at Downtown Disney. I have to disagree with the DVM fees previously quoted. We don't have state inspections here...

My advice is to do what I did - rent for awhile and find the place that you want to live in - good school district, close to work, etc. While i only work over there twice a week, I just bought a house that is 3 miles away from my F/T job.

I've stayed at all 3, and if you are forced to pick between DLH and PP, pick DLH. Goofy's Kitchen has a great breakfast! Hope you get GCH, though. I enjoyed my stay (on points) at the hotel in 2008. Granted, I stayed in a regular room, as they were building the villias at that time.

I hear ya, OP. In June, I booked BLT (not my home resort) and was only able to get a studio for Saturday night. I have 2 different waitlists for Friday night, but they have not come thru yet. I don't car what kind of studio I get, as long as I get one. I'm local, so if I don't get Friday...

I have used my points at DL. It's not the greatest way to use them, but it is doable. I used mine to stay at the Grand Calif. in Feb 2008, before the addition of the villias there. I wouldn't have been able to afford the cash rate, even at a discount.

When I transferred, it was 2 days of full availablity; now it's 3. So I work 5 days a week at my f/t job, and 2 days a week at my p/t job. My p/t job will schedule me anywhere between a 6 hour shift to an 8 hour shift, each day.
