I found a real eye opening article about WDI

I agree that PotC and HM don't have clear stories to tell, thats half the charm, you get to make up the story for yourself. But as for Everest, the story a least in my mind, is well laid out before you long before you get to the ride vehicles. The in ride story elements are there as well, the...

I found a real eye opening article about WDI

Add almost twice as slow, don't get me wrong I love BTM. I think Everest is better. Exactly what story is BTM telling, dont go mining or go mining but watch out for bats and earthquakes? I actually thought the ride layout of Everest was pretty similar to BTM, just faster, and in the dark...

I found a real eye opening article about WDI

To each his own, some of us dont need to be spoon fed the entire gist of the story. Other than the ram on the hill top and the mining camp you see about 3 seconds of, what does Big Thunder have to offer that Everest doesnt. I mean other than an actual thrill. Everest is a rollercoaster, you...

I found a real eye opening article about WDI

Ghostbuster626, I think you should reserve judgment until you have ridden the ride yourself. I think you will be quite pleased with it. It is far from bare boned. There is a lot of story telling going on, to the observant eye.

I found a real eye opening article about WDI

I disagree, I think most people like to know how things work and the more complex something is the more we seem to enjoy it. Knowing that each car on Test Track has the same computing power (or so I've heard) as the space shuttle is cool. As far as themeing, how can you top Everest? Have you...

I found a real eye opening article about WDI

I was commenting on the whole statement. To say Everest isn't as complex a ride as Splash Mountain or "Star Tours" is preposterus. I can't fathom how silly saying something like that is. Aside from M:S or ToT or TT, Everest must be one of the most complex rides at WDW

This sounded like a credible statement until right about here. Above this a reasonable statement. Below this, not so much.

How about removing the gum and dried hockers on the mesh screens in the graveyards scene.

    EE just had an evacuation

LOL, no my son and I were freezing in line and the whole ride shut down. They had to "reset" the ride. CMs were running everywhere. It took like 20 minutes to get it going again. It felt like 2 hours. Then again later that night we went to ride it again and it was in the middle of a shut down...

    disney buying pixar

I think Pixar is a publicly held company, so buying every share of outstanding stock doesnt seem feasible. At what point does Disney own Pixar if 100% of the share not attainable. I would think 51% would be all they would have to have. Controlling interest. Even if the 49% of the other voting...

But then again, Disney wouldn't have to buy all 7 billion dollars worth only 51% or 3.57 billion.

    disney buying pixar

No problem, but 6.7 billion its literally a ton of money for Pixar. You would have to sell a bunch of Buzz Lightyears dolls to recoup that kind of investment.

I was referring to the fact that Steve Jobs co-founded Apple.

This is correct, I wasnt thinking clearly. I wonder if Roy has any stock and if he and Steve Jobs are on good terms. I'd like to see a "Disney" back at Disney

I think Steve jobs is much closer to the mold that Walt Disney was made than Iger or Eisner. At least he has created a company from scratch and is much more creative minded. (or at the very least can surround himself with creative people)

Excellent point, and I would agree if Eisner and Iger were still in charge after the "merger", but with Jobs being the majority stock holder and probably in charge, interferrence is a non issue.
