the more i think about this…integrating Walt as the narrator of the show..i kind of love it. COP is arguably one of the most visibly outdated attractions in WDW. this would feel like a proper use of a Walt figure and really drive home some of his core beliefs when it came to progress and the future.

ngl i’m kind of expecting that announcement at D23 next month…not the removal of Carousel per se, but the integration of the Walt animatronic/show somewhere at WDW.

as a local i will not tolerate detroit slander. not much of the city looks like this anymore.

if Disney were allowed to use Marvel on the east coast, that’s where I’d put a Marvel Studios area. it’s always bothered me that one of the biggest Disney IPs isn’t featured at the Movie IP park. the RnRc showbuilding would blend in if were anything like Avengers Campus or had a “real world”...

I think you’re reading too much into this. Rides get retired. It happens at every amusement park. It’s not like somebody died.

Most I could see are the repurposed Statler and Waldorf figures with new audio either before the launch or at the end of the ride. Otherwise, probably just the Electric Mayhem on screen in the pre show and visual gags/graffiti in the queue.

oh yeah- that’s 100% going to be a dream forced perspective effect. i wouldn’t even be surprised if it was the size of Belle’s castle at MK. all those rings just need to be positioned and distanced correctly to look massive from the ground level.

thanks, i think this is the main reason. for years (before the change) the bags you’d get from the gift shops featured a castle similar to WDW’s but with a paint scheme like DL’s. they’re used on both coasts, so i think they switched it to make the “commercial” castle real. not saying it’s good...
