Be Our Guest now serving Alcohol for Breakfast/Lunch

Serious question.... Will they serve the mimosas in these?

I love MK, great classic dark rides, there's so much to do, etc. It's just magical. But in many ways MK is just the best execution of the standard fairytale amusement park. I actually voted for EPCOT. When I first visited WDW in 1985 it was my favorite. It was so unlike anything I'd ever...

Pros & Cons to taking a toddler to Disney World

DH and I first took our son to WDW when he was 15 months. It was magical. It was mid-January, so very much the quiet season. He met Pooh & Tigger in England at EPCOT, I've never seen a child so happy. Then we had dinner with Pooh & Friends at Crystal Palace in MK. Baby ecstasy. We took him...

How far in advance to purchase plane tickets?

Depends on who you ask.... If you book too far in advance, it can be pricey. If you book too late, it can be pricey and you get a terrible flight too. Lately, I've been watching the flight prices daily and snapping up the tickets when the prices seem to drop, anything from 2.5 - 3 months in...

Going to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festivel. What Do I Have to Eat and Drink?

It's hot, so two things: 1. At Refreshment Port get a Pineapple Soft-Serve Ice Cream with Bacardi Coconut Rum (adult Dole Whip) 2. In France, get a La Passion Martini Slush: Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron, Cranberry and Passion Fruit Juice (adult slurpee)

    Last Minute Questions

    1. I can't remember, is there a hair drier in the room? Yes, at least there is one in the values...... 2. How do I use the food ordering app if I have the dining plan? Also, how do you use it for two people on the same res? Have an article from Disney about that...

    Daily food budget?

If we're only doing quick service, I expect to spend $75 per adult per day. That's breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner with a random beverage or two. Add in a nice sit down dinner, expect to spend an additional $40 per adult. This doesn't include alcohol and tips. Beer and wine, add another...

Do you use the Train at Magic Kingdom?

DH throws a temper tantrum if we don't ride the train at MK. It's his favorite and he's a train nut anyway. So sometimes we ride it just because, other times it saves us a walk through the middle of the park. You have no idea how upset he gets when it's closed for refurbishment.....

Question for those who stay in the values.

Every once in a while, I stop and say how did I go to Hawaii and stay in really nice suite hotels in fantastic locations (full kitchen, huge lanai, 2 bathrooms, large master bedroom) and spend less than I would have spent on a moderate at WDW. Oh, right, it's Disney. Anyway, I've stayed at All...

    Worthwhile bars

No one's mentioned the Crew's Cup Lounge at Yacht Club. Very chill place to have a beer with your boss when he's feeling generous.... DH and I used to go to Bongo's at Disney Springs before the kids. Sometimes good music, and we are very fond of mojitos.

    Best months and resort comparisons

I can vouch for November (around Veterans Day) and January (about a week after new years). In November, expect upper 70s to low 80s for highs, it's very pleasant and the crowds aren't too bad. In January, it's cooler, upper 60s and low 70s, but the parks can feel almost empty. Can't give much...

    Favorite F&W Festival food?

The adult unDole whip at the Refreshment Port- "Pineapple Soft-Serve Ice Cream with Bacardi Coconut Rum". Makes mommy and daddy not care that the little people are being naughty.

Disney Dining Reservation - Do I need a Room / Package reservation ?

I've booked dinner reservations without booking a trip. You don't need to be an onsite guest to make dinner plans. :)
