    What's Next...Predictions!

Announced by October 2011? Four months? I don't think anything of note will be announced by then. If this thread were The Price Is Right, I would bid $1.

    Wally Boag died today

According to Steve Martin (via Twitter), Disneyland legend Wally Boag died today at the age of 90. WallyBoag.com Sad news.

Giving out your "not gonna be used" FastPasses

I always throw mine in the garbage. I prefer the poor schmucks waiting an hour in the standby line to have a shorter wait rather than letting some stranger skip in front of those schmucks just because he happened to be walking past me on my way out of the park.

When was your first visit to Disney World?

Summer of 1976; age 6 months.

    Marvel's Next Step

This thread has entered into the arena of "absurd". To take Disday's incorrect legal understanding to it's most ridiculous conclusion ... if one Disney shareholder sold one share of stock to his wife, Disney could then void or nullify each and every contract it is a party to that it desires...

    Marvel's Next Step

It did?* *Hint: That's my sarcastic way of saying "No, it didn't. I know this because I read the contract and it didn't say that." Yes, it appears that's his suggestion.

    Star Tours 2 helping TSMM?

Star Tours will start having the longest line in the park as soon as it's on every inch of the DHS advertising. This will probably take a month. People are sheep, they go where Disney (advertising) tells them to go. If Disney put Sounds Dangerous on the cover of the park map, it would have...

    Marvel's Next Step

There is literally no assertion in your paragraph that has any accuracy or grounding in fact. I could go one by one and refute them, but you could do so yourself by reading through the thread. But to reiterate, everything you said is wrong.

    Marvel's Next Step

Here's the language in the contract ... What's relevant is the term "reasonable approval" - that's a pretty standard concept in licensing contracts. No court will ever find reasonable approval to mean "no to everything". It means Universal couldn't make Iron Man a woman, or change Spiderman...

    Marvel's Next Step

I'm not offended, I just don't think your premise has any logical foundation. Universal has a contract in place. Every time Marvel does something with the intellectual property, the value of Universal's side of the contract becomes more valuable. Marvel is in the process of putting out a...

2011 'Eat to the Beat' concert series lineup for Epcot Food & Wine Festival

She was a fairly big deal from 1987-1990; I'm sure you'd recognize a few of her songs if you heard them (you just don't realize that she was the performer). Taylor Dayne - Love Will Lead You Back

    Marvel's Next Step

He wants to know what the Merlin contract says to see if they have any exclusivity in the European market. It has nothing to do with Universal. Why do you keep bringing it up?

    Marvel's Next Step

It works the other way around. Every film Disney puts out makes kids want to see the Marvel characters more ... and they have to go to Universal to do it (at least on the east coast). Every film (or comic book, or game, or tv show, or cartoon) makes Universal's Marvel Superhero Island more...

    Marvel's Next Step

There is nothing reflected in the contract that says Disney/Marvel can flat out prevent Universal from putting an Iron Man attraction on that island. They can prevent Universal from using the likeness of Robert Downey Jr (and other actors). They can probably prevent Universal from using...

    Just scrap the Yeti?

Yup, he sure botched that whole Disneyland thing in California prior to his death. People hated it and nobody bought tickets. I'm a shareholder. I'm far more concerned with the long term health of the company and the restoration of the company's good will, than I am with short term profits...

The "ONE" Ride or Attraction You Would Love to See RETURN

When Disney finally puts me in charge of TDO, I'm putting Alien Encounter in DHS next to Tower of Terror, swapping Aerosmith for KISS, and adding a Nightmare Before Christmas darkride and changing that section of the park to a "spooky entertainment" area.

2011 'Eat to the Beat' concert series lineup for Epcot Food & Wine Festival

The Pointer Sisters were kind of a WDW house band ... Pointer Sisters sing Neutron Dance in 1985 on WDW Summer Special Pointer Sisters sing I'm So Excited in 1989 at MGM opening If Disney was on national TV in the 80s, you could almost always count on the Pointer Sisters (and Donna Summer).
