DINOSAUR closed for refurbishment July 25 - November 20 2016

Am I happy? of course! However, its a little sad to read praise for something they should be keeping up with regularly for the premium/standards they have built their rep on. I guess that's the Disney we experience these days though. (ie, great job fixing up those effects that stopped working...

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Meh. Cute but not memorable. I remember the first time I watched DL's Fantasmic, World of Color, WDW Wishes, the big anniversary shows out west for the 50th and 60th. All of those left me with "feels" that I couldn't get enough of and really warranted multiple viewings. Nice additions/better...

    Ratatouille in Epcot

A few times. Was just there the end of September for the half marathon. However, the amount of times I visited doesn't really play into comments. Just giving my opinion from someone who loves Disney in general but thinks Parc disneyland is fantastic. I just don't share you enthusiasm for the...

    Ratatouille in Epcot

Agreed on all accounts. Its a cute ride but didn't impress me enough to warrant a reride. Additionally, calling out the statements that its extremely popular, the line stays long due to frequent breakdowns. We got a fast pass for it and it broke down twice while in the fastpass line. I love that...

    Ratatouille in Epcot

I just had the chance to ride it the end of September. While a good attraction, I didn't like it as much as I was hoping to. I thought it was a little boring honestly. The best take away for me was getting to try out the trackless ride system which was stellar. That said, any new attraction for...

News Disney considering a service like Uber at WDW - Confirmed as Minnie Van

I'm all for this as long as the rates don't go up from what Uber charges right now. We woke up at the Poly last year during food and wine to participate in an early morning breakfast at epcot and were told that the monorail would be running to get us over there before park opening, it wasn't. A...

PhotoPass comes to Frozen Ever After with on-ride photo

Hopefully near the end when everyone has that look on their face like "That's it? I just waited 90 minutes for that?". lol. Seriously though, would have been nice to have something picturesque in the background going on.

Crowds are down? Curious about the claims . . .

For a holiday weekend, completely manageable. Not sure of the ratings but we didn't run into any huge crowding issues at any point really. Except, I perceived a lot of ride downtime. Splash went down so they issued fastpasses for everyone to use elsewhere. As a result, space and 7 dwarves...

Crowds are down? Curious about the claims . . .

Contemporary was mostly sold out while we were there (6/29-7/3). They had a couple Bay Lake tower views left. Parks were busy but manageable. No complaints here ; )

    Frozen Ever After opening day

Rode it last Friday. Had a couple hours to kill so we grabbed a beverage and waited in the 90 min line. The standby line wasn't long as far as the number of people in it but they just didn't let many standby people in where the two lines merged. Fast pass was a constant, steady line of people...

Tiffins introduces new more affordable lunch menu

We had dinner there on Saturday evening and did the jungle book live priority seating package. The food was some of the best I've had on property but super pricey for sure. With a couple adult beverages and tip, it was over $200 for the 2 of us and the restaurant was mostly empty. We had front...

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

I thought this too but when we rode the old version at California Adventure the end of April, the scents were not on. I asked a cast member why on our way out and she said the scents were set up for the new film and testing. If that is true (who knows) they cant switch the two. I really cant see...

Norway Pavilion Frozen construction - Frozen Ever After ride

I dropped this on the blog today: "The frozen battle has been exhausted above so my only comment is this....I really wish we would start getting some new experiences by adding to the ride count instead of sacrificing nostalgia/originals. Plussing/reimagining is a Disneyism and very...

Living With The Land closing for 10 day refurbishment in September

I wish they'd bring back the old catchy living with the land song to pep it up. The first set of scenes and animatronics are nostalgic, the greenhouse is always fun to see what's going on but without the catchy song it just feels too sleepy.

TCM teams up with Disney to refresh Great Movie Ride

I think they were referring to my post about how the very ending shows clips floating through space that were just shown moments before in a larger format....not that the clips were some of the ones in the prior version of the film....or, maybe I'm wrong ; )

TCM teams up with Disney to refresh Great Movie Ride

From the video, I dont have any issues with the upgrades and like the infused freshness. My only small complaint about the finale would be that the floating screens at the very end show much of the same clips we just watched seconds before. With all the classic movies out there, might have been...

Yeti is indeed being fixed! Update 8/4/2014

My friends rode everest for the first time Wed morning while we were down for the half marathon. I didn't tell them anything before the ride and then I asked them what they thought of the giant yeti animatronic at the end and they said "what yeti animatronic?". They noticed a couple flashing...

    D23 winding down?

Being a life long fan and collector, I fell for the subscription right off the bat. Although I try and visit both coasts each year, the membership was never geared for non-locals (I'm in Colorado) and just wasn't worth it to me so I let it lapse after the first year. I really enjoyed the...

Al Lutz: Carsland for WDW, FLE not Bringing in Guests

Well stated. This was my feeling last week while I was there. I had fun showing someone new around and seeing the experience from their eyes, but the magic just wasn't there for a variety of reasons. I hope they get their mojo back!
