From what I can tell, a lot of this board's discussion is devoted to the international parks and Disneyland, upcoming movies, imaginative and creative alternatives to what exists in the parks, changes at the resorts, the cruise line and D+. Not everything is about WDW.

I don't hate the new carpet but it doesn't say "turn of the century seaside resort" to me. It says "Welcome to the Marriott".

Mystery solved! Apparently, the guest had 2 concurrent reservations in their name at the same resort. The resort canceled the reservation that I had made and the guest used the other one. DVC generously returned my points (which were banked from the previous UY) and took them out of holding...

Question (because I'm unfamiliar with Wakanda and pretty much most of the MARVEL universe): Is there a large enough fan base to merit an entire land based on Wakanda? Or is one really awesome attraction in an existing area a better use of funds?

This would be true if the hotel rooms themselves were the only driving factor. 50 $2 rooms vs 100 $1 rooms means that 50 fewer families are buying souvenirs, eating at the restaurants or buying park tickets. I'm sure that there is a point of diminished returns where hotel discounts are concerned...

I'm sure that people are correct in their assessment of posted wait times vs actual wait times. During periods of lighter attendance, Disney will manipulate attraction through put in order to keep those wait times within a predetermined range. So for example, instead of sending a boatload of...

I don't think they're lying. I'm sure that it feels just as busy as ever to them. Disney can do things during slower periods that make the wait times just as long as they are during average periods. But there are undeniable indicators that point to lighter attendance such as lower G+ and ILL$...

Given how often TWDC has given fans the "Charlie Brown Football" treatment, I'm very skeptical of how much will be spent on the domestic parks or how impressive their final product will be. Certainly, they had to know that this money was in the pipeline when they made their lackluster D23...

This is great news but I want to see where the money will be going. If the bulk of it is not spent in the domestic parks, then I have nothing to cheer about. And if that money just buys a bunch of cheap overlays on existing attractions, then again, I'm not going to be very excited.
