Your list of 'never got to dos' is very sad. It reminds me of my childhood and those things my children will never be able to experience. With that being said, do not discount all of the great additions/updates to the 'World since those days.

We just added this to our trip in June. I hope it lives up to its good reviews.

The experience is very liberating. You can completely relax and enjoy all of the things you rush by on shorter trips. Plus, we plan the first few days and last few days, then adjust the middle based on weather, level of fatigue, etc. Definitely try it someday.

Nothing less than 10-14 days on average. Our next stay (June-July) is for 25 days, all on property (POR-Riverside RR).

Not sure about those promos, but I was able to book with AP discount. The reduced rate was lower than my original booking @ AoA.

I can promise that if we are at home, you will hear Disney background music streaming at all times. Disney screen savers, wallpapers, phone theme, ringtone, alerts are all constants. Also, our goal is to always have our next trip booked.

What happened to the water effect under the walkway/bridge to the Beast's Castle? In the original art work, a very prominent water effect was present; it has been replace with trees in both the new renderings as well as the aerials.

Ok, here is my rumor based on absolutely no inside information, just some wishful thinking. This area is being prepped to support the 'Glow with the Show' tech being used in DL. A recent Disney Blog post indicated that DL's Fantasmic is going to get this tech soon...

Back in July, we me Turf (Alonzo Jones) who is currently on America's Got Talent. He was hanging out in the POC gift shop. Many people recognized him and offered their good luck wishes. Not sure he is a celeb just yet, but he was a very friendly and humble guy. Outstanding dancer as well.

During our trip earlier this month, my daughter was talking to a CM in the PORS gift shop (Fulton's General Store). On the counter at the back of the store is a trivia board. Well, my daughter scored an 11 out of 12. The CM was so impressed with this that she gave her a Magical Moments Card...

You can take this with a grain of salt, but during our Illuminations fireworks cruise, the CM/Boat Captain stated that it costs $55,000 a night for the show. BTW, the cruise was one of the best things we have done @ WDW.

The receipt always shows the balance. Also, there is an iPhone app that you can use to track your balances. I used it extensively this past trip; worked very well. The app will allow you to give each card a name; I then put that name on the back of the card with a sharpie. Link to app...
