any construction on I-75 atlanta to WDW?

In Georgia, I believe the bulk of the roadwork is done... for a while it was pretty dodgy around Valdosta. Right now, Georgia-Navigator.com (GDOT website) is showing only a few lane closures for this week around central and south Georgia. Not sure about Florida.

Late arrival time on first day

EPCOT's a great place to kill time in the evening... walking around world showcase... perhaps a drink or one of the pavilion movies... and of course, Illuminations.

    Illuminations Upgrade

They redid the globe a while back to upgrade the projections. But due to its nature (full of pyro, covered with LED), its "daytime" look will never be as "shiny" as TDS's AquaSphere.

    When Love Bugs attack!

Images from Fort Wilderness last week: http://www.trailerlife.com/cforum/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/24001545.cfm My best way to get them off the windshield (NOT THE CAR PAINT!) is to soak them down with windex or something similar, then scrape them off using a straigh razor blade as a...

Big trip planned for a first timer!

I wouldn't take them across the park to find a single obscure hidden Mickey, but certainly point out any you see along the way. It's a great mini-scavenger hunt and by the end of the trip they'll probably be noticing them on their own and feeling really smart for doing so. :) A few secrets...

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

I'd actually love to have another new EPCOT-centric book, myself, like the one that I loving refer to as the "morbidly obese EPCOT book." FUll of concept art, rejected plans, etc.

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

WDW got a pretty heavy treatment in the original, so I presume they wanted to focus on new things since the first printing.

    Playing Piano at Casey's Corner?

Sorry, I got nuthin'. I've never seen anyone play it other than the designated CM. I suppose the easiest thing to do would be to approach him during a set (he's usually very talkative to those around him) and explain what you'd seen before at DL and ask if they do it here.

    Old Key West

I like Old Key West. It is an older resort, but is still kept in relatively good shape. Are you a DVC member or no? The resort was originally designed as "THE" DVC resort when the club/timeshare group was first formed. The rooms are a bit bigger than some of the other DVCs (especially the...

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

I chunked all of mine. Just "in the way," and seemed like they were there to protect during the binding process. The only one I was hesitant to get rid of was the one on the transparent castle blueprint overlay... I'm a bit worried about transfer of that ink; but I just bit the bullet and...

MK Itinerary advice on a morning EMH day as a NON-guest

Fantasyland might be a bit crowded for the dirst couple of hours because of EMHers already having a head start on it... they'll probably stay in the area. Fantasyland is pretty popular for EMH because it's so crowded anyway, any chance to beat the crowds with it is welcome by the hotel guests...

    Crap.

I wouldn't rearrange the world over the touringplans crowd level. I've been on "10" days where I could nonetheless have driven a truck through the queues. They're a planning guide based on past dates... if they knew exact crowd levels in advance, they'd be too busy playing the lottery to...

    Non-licensed Merchandise?

I have seen groups of 100+ people running around the parks in unofficial clothing using the "waltograph" font. The only times CMs may approach you about your clothing is if it is offensive, vulgar, possssssssbily if it advertises alcohol/tobacco/etc (but that's probably quite rare), or maybe if...
