Jim Hill: Characters in Beastly Kingdomme

On a podcast a few weeks ago, Hill did mention that it would be Narnia based, he also mentioned that Disney was looking at the Hobbit franchise as well, but becuase of all the legal problems associated with that title Disney decided to do the easy thing and use a franchise they already had the...

Early 90's plans for Disney in Canada?

Yup Yup. And I'm glad the rumours weren't true. Yonge St here in Toronto has had enough problems until recently. A giant hole or empty building would not have helped. I do hold out hope for one of these Disney themed hotels in the future. Waterpark would be nice too. And a LBE would be a dream...

Early 90's plans for Disney in Canada?

Don't remember that personally. There was talk around that time about a DisneyQuest going in at Yonge and Dundas where Toronto Life (AKA Metropolis) is going up now.

    Virtual Disney Attractions

Found this via Kotaku. Here is their description: "..interesting yet odd cluster of flash based simulation games based on popular attractions at Disney theme parks such as The Tower of Terror, Space Mountain and Phantom Manor (that's the Euro Disney version of The Haunted Mansion). In the game...

    Future Expansion

I thought that we agreed ages ago that: Little Mermaid was to go in that space behind Videopolis. Beauty and The Beast was to go on that grassy hill beside La Brave Petit Tailleur and Auberge de Cendrillon And that Geyser Mountain could still fit (according to your maps and calculations).

    Even More ToT Pictures

Joe has new pictures: http://www.jtcent.com/disneysea/american/amwtot.html Just love # 238! Great shot! They even put curtains in some of the guest rooms. Great work WDI! This could be the best work they have done to date. I hope this is the quality Lassiter will bring the US parks back to.

    Happy Anniversary WDSP!!!!!

Congratulations on being the gem in the crown of the Eisner era! From your cardboard Rockin Roller Coaster sign to your perfectly fitting Aladin's Flying Carpets! You are a true example of what an Imagineer can do with this kind of budget. But seriously...here's to better days ahead.

    Disney's 2006 Annual Meeting

For anyone who wants a really good analysis of the Annual Meeting I really suggest Chuck Oberleitner round table discussion with Jim Hill and Mark Goldhaber (from Mouse Planet). Really informative discussion (and pretty funny in parts). You can find the Podcast here...

    DisneySea artwork

Oh good, thought I had missed one (and yes there are a lot of them now). Speaking of TDS did I ever send you the link to the Kirk's web site? If not email me, I'll send it to you when I get home. And speaking of books does anyone know what "Legends of Imagineering" is going to be about?

    DisneySea artwork

Which Imagineering book Marni? I only remember the TDS model and a couple of paintings in the Magic Behind the Dreams (or what ever it's called) book.

Beastly Kingdom may come back to Animal Kingdom!

I was never excited by the concept either except for maybe Dragon Tower, which could be a nice addition to the MK in the old 20K spot.

Beastly Kingdom may come back to Animal Kingdom!

They are ahead of schedule over at Scream Scape. They mentioned Indy today, on top of 3 new E-Tickets for MGM. (Not sure where they would find the room for them but...)

New Sinbad attraction and Snow Queen Musical coming to Tokyo DisneySea

Apparently Sinbad is not doing too well. Besides the new theme by Menken some other "tweaks" to the attraction are supposed to be done. From what I've read location and character recognition (no Disney Sinbad movie) are factors in this ride needing a boost. Still not sure why they didn't do...

    Hong Kong:Stitch, UFO's, Autopia

A full day park just means that there is a full day worth of things to do. Attractions, shows, shopping, eating... A half day park would mean that there is only enough things to do to occupy half a day.

    Imagineer Blog

I've recognized quite a few names on the comments from people from this site and other sites. The whole thing is just turning into another WDI rant board. Waste of time IMO.
